I have Civ 5, but Im not a big fan of it.
I like other 4x games though, like the Total War series, Sins of a Solar Empire, that sort of stuff.

I love Civ V, but I never played multiplayer since I have no one to play with.

I do.
Civ is love. Civ is life.
I'm drooling over Civ 6 videos every night after work. I can't wait.
Been playing Sid Meier games since Civilization III.
Own Pirates and Beyond Earth too. Barely played Beyond Earth though. Most of my PC time is usually just spent on Civilization or XMage.

This won't be a surprise, but my favourite civ is Japan. I wasn't a fan of Japan in Civ 4 though.

Japan's passive ability is ridiculously strong. I still believe they're one of the strongest military civs for that reason. Fight fight and fight with no end in sight.

Venice was pretty cool, but I accomplished what I set out to do with them, and lost interest in the game after that :P
I decided to be the guy with everyone's money. So I did (well, I opened trade with mostly everybody and became mega rich.)

What do you guys think of the new districts concept they're introducing in Civ 6?

Be interesting to see how it plays out. Wonder whoring is much harder, but it does make it easier to grab the wonder you need since there is less competition.
It also seems to be better for going tall so I'm not gonna complain

How do you gather it helps playing tall? It seems more fundamentally to promote wide play.
July 5, 2016 3:38 p.m.
i read some articles based on that comment by SH. Its pretty neat to think about. I think I tend to like playing tall, but I think i need to go wider to be more successful.
July 5, 2016 3:49 p.m.
As do I. It seems to be the more straightforward civs that play tall. They tend to be more successful. India, Venice, Egypt, etc. They have an easier time winning with less to focus on.
The wider civs take a lot of micro that people don't want to put in. I think forcing the diversity is a good thing. It will be interesting.
I also liked the more realistic combat animations. Cavalry will actually trample their opponents now. Battles look more like actually conflicts against the opponent rather than simple animations.
Some dev interviewing from E3 though insinuated that there will still be plenty of room for tall play.

Haven't tried CIV since CIV 5.
