What do you mean "a trader"? Did you send someone money on this site? Or another site? And how did you send the money? I'm hoping you were smart and used a service like paypal that can track these kinds of transactions?

What web site did you contact the trader through? And do you have any info about him? We can't really help you unless we know more detail.

Also, have you tried contacting him? If you sent the money in the mail 2 weeks ago, it could take that long for stuff to get back and forth. Maybe he was waiting for the money before shipping his end, and you'll get your cards in the next week.

If you're looking for a more reputable source, by going to the deck page on this site, there's a chart on the right side that shows price, with a link the "buy now". That will take you to TCG, which is a pretty solid site. You can also use EBay, as most purchases there are backed by Ebay's guarantee. I would avoid individuals that you don't know, especially for transactions that large.

While I feel bad for you, it does you no good to ask us for advice without telling us anything important. We still have no idea who you bought from or what the details of the arrangement were.

2 weeks...depending on how far away it was...is not an unreasonable amount of time to wait for something like that. But really if you have no means of reaching this person why would ever agree to send them money? You must have had email or phone contact at one point or another?

and really I wouldn't trust a facebook page to be catching scammers anytime soon.

If you provided this information you might be able to get a bit of help.

Shop/company name.

Email Address / Mail address if it was a store.

Some of the conversation between you, and the other party.

Why you think after such a short time that you have been ripped off.

Where you met this trader. Which site?

Did he offer you something at an almost too good to be true price? What was the list of cards you were buying for $240?

I have so many questions that I could ask you, and if you want some help do your best to answer a couple of them.

Mail can take a week or more to get where it is going. If it takes 1 1/2 weeks to get to him, then a little time to process, then 1 1/2 weeks to get back to you, it could be a while. Some people do not act as quickly as others.

No offense, but it sounds like you just didn't think it through. You sent someone $240 seemingly with no indication that the sale would be legitimate. You're also asking for help, but you aren't giving us anything that we can use to help you.
