I am not against gun ownership, for reference. It's your right as a free man to own one. That's fine. I am against the belief that gun ownership is helpful haha.

@VampireArmy: Many reasons.
I happen to take a special interest in the demographic I belong to.

ChiefBell taking a look at that victimization article (keep in mind, I'm just skimming it so I could be grossly misinterpreting it) it seems to suggest not that you're more likely to die in a home invasion situation, but that you're more likely to be murdered. If that's the case, I agree with the data because from what I've heard from my brother (a cop, to reiterate) you're much more likely to be murdered by someone you live with than anyone else. Very few homicides aren't targeted, and of the ones that are targeted, a significantly small percentage come from outside the household.
In which case, your observation about people just not committing crime altogether when guns are taken out of the equation, that makes more sense, because it's easy to kill someone with a fun, but it's hard to kill someone with a knife. If you want to murder your spouse, you may think twice if you have to do with with some piano wire.

It includes all kinds of homicide yes. That includes both familial and stranger based.
May 28, 2015 7 p.m.
Although /technically/ familial homicide would be like patricide (killing father) or matricide (mother) or fratricide (killing bother or sister).
Edit: but we are not romans speaking latin so we do not use those terms.

Dig us up an article from your database on the ratio of familial homicide to random homicides. Now i'm interested.

He's got access to one of those academic article databases through his university, so if we ever need references for stuff, he's got them!

I found that husbands are 50% more likely to kill their wives than wives killing husbands?
This is a tough search: going through homicide demographics.

well, chief, you can also know that Madonna and Celine Dion are cousins of Prince Charles' wife, Camilla.
May 28, 2015 7:10 p.m.
Lol, you don't have to man. I was just interested to see what those numbers were like for my own information.

Wives are also much less likely to be charged with murder so there's that
May 28, 2015 7:11 p.m.
So, can anyone confirm/deny that these MM2 boxes are only supposed to have one copy of each rare, aside from foils? Like, if you get two copies of two different rares, is that a sign the box had been tampered with?

no clue. I got 3 Mox Opals in mine, so I dont THINK so...
and 2 leylines, 1 foil, one not.

Packs are randomly distributed to different boxes. If you were guaranteed to have one of each rare in a product, you'd destroy the secondary market and make pack mapping a huge threat.
May 28, 2015 7:18 p.m.
But it is exceedingly unlikely to get two of the same rare just due to maths.
May 28, 2015 7:19 p.m.
I mean I know it's not guaranteed, but I got two Daybreak Coronet's and two Swans of Bryn Argoll in my box. Just thought it was odd. Disappointing box overall, just had a Bob, Elesh norn, two coronets, a remand and a foil bolt. Other 1-2 dollar things as well.

america isn't actually allowed to own guns, it's just a misunderstanding, you can however own a pair of BEAR arms

I'd find that funnier if there weren't a depressing number of people convinced that we have no right to own guns.

Apparently in my hometown there's this huge anti immigration thing going on. Not even illegal immigration. Just this group of people are against all immigration in general. I loled. Dude If you're white, you're likely an immigrant too. Learn to share your country. Illegal immigration sucks yeah I'll admit it hurts but don't take that out on regular people ya bunch of idiots

Half of Australia thinks we should have stopped them years ago :P

You know what's interesting though? A lot of Slavic people live in Wisconsin and there are hardly any Hispanic or black descendant people there.

In Australia the aboriginal people were officially classed as 'wildlife' until around the 60s. Which is, you know, not great.
