Legend of Zelda? I don't remember which one, so no. I do want to get that for college though. It's a pretty penny.

I know I have brought up that game before, but I am not good at games. That is one of the only ones I have ever played for a decent amount of time. Even then I am only good at one character, and my friends all have 2-3 or more go to guys. Pretty much every single character gets played pretty consistently. We play that game every single time I go back home. Started playing it back when it came out, no idea how long it has been.

I played it, I was just not good at it. I always preferred playing outside, and then since my friends wanted to, I would play video games after. Basketball then smash. Still do that when I go back. It is nice.

Ocarina of Time! You have brought shame upon your family NoPantsParade!

In other news I shall be writing an article today. An article of the utmost importance for this website.

Epochalyptik I know the feeling. What travesty of logic and misrepresentation has occurred this time?

Apparently, expecting that a deck be constructed of Magic cards means I'm forcing a house rule on people and it's my problem.

What is this, tumblr?

N64 has some awesome gems. The Turok series, Perfect Dark & Jet Force Gemini. Castlevania 64 always holds a warm spot with me.

Some topics seem to bring out very polarizing opinions. It can be hard to keep on topic. I had to change a few sentences as I wrote, but tried to keep myself from seemingly becoming harsh. I think I did that.

Hit enter too quick there.

Different experiences drive everyone's opinions, their views of the game, and how it is played. Some people could experience proxies as being the only way to keep up, and others as a way to push ahead of everyone else.

June 3, 2015 12:55 p.m.

@ CanadianShinobi

Here, have fun.

Joking aside, I'm actually on epoch's side in the matter. I would add to his list though, because my Imperial Seal is never coming to a store with me, ever. The only time I would ever break it out would be for Competitive REL Vintage (which I don't have the cards for, so it's a non-issue).

June 3, 2015 1:05 p.m.

Oh I found it. I read it. And I just scratched my head. I suppose this is a benefit of playing solely online.

So I made a pretty good breakfast. Had some won ton soup, but just ate the won tons last night. Took the broth this morning. Added in some soy, siracha, sesame oil. Then added some pho noodles(Vietnamese vermicelli I think it is). Then dropped in a couple beaten eggs after the noodles were done since femme was always talking about that. It was very good.

June 3, 2015 1:20 p.m.

Well not I'm hungry again and I just had a bagel. Thanks Didgeridooda.

...how can we be talking about the best n64 games and not include mario64, wave rider, donkey kong 64 or golden eye?

And majora's mask was horrendous. Just my personal opinion.

GoldGhost012 says... #24

Cue pissed fans Majora's Mask fans in 3... 2... 1.

June 3, 2015 2:20 p.m. Edited.

kyuuri117 says... #25

You can't defend majora's mask if you've only played it on the nintendo 3ds either. You can apparently save at any point on that thing. Which was not possible on the n64 game.

June 3, 2015 2:24 p.m.

While Majora's Mask isn't the worst of the Zelda series (that would be Skyward Sword) I find it remarkably underwhelming. Also, I have never played any of the gameboy games except for Oracle of Ages when I was a wee lad.

Play Hyrule Warriors and get the best of all the timelines. That's my way of thinking at least XD

NoPantsParade says... #28

Well, CanadianShinobi, I took your word for it and just bought Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time off Amazon. I'm expecting great things.

Also, does anyone know how to get the newer TV's to display the N64 games in color as opposed to black and white? Our older one broke, and I don't want to buy a TV just for the N64, but I might have to for college anyways. I think an HDMI converter might work, but what do I know? Google hasn't helped much.

Off to work now at the grocery store. Fare thee well, everyone.

June 3, 2015 2:45 p.m.

Beware the Water Temple. Trust me, the game isn't perfect, but I do consider it to be one of the best games of all time. It's solid and holds up well.

June 3, 2015 2:47 p.m.

kyuuri117 says... #30

NoPantsParade I googled it and your issue is that you are probably using a "component video" cable. The one with five prongs, red, white, yellow, green, blue. Yea? The n64 doesn't support that. You need to be using AV cables (stands for Audio/Video). Just Red, White and Yellow. Also, as for what channel you need to be on, it has to be like "Video 1, video 2" etc, not "component video".

You can't have the AV cable going into the component ports in the back of the tv either. Even newer TV's should still have the regular AV port, but if yours doesn't, look at your local Best Buy, Radio Shack, whatever you use, for a component to av converter or something like that.

I think we feed through a VCR/DVD thing at my parents house into the big TV. It is a very new one, but we have color.

June 3, 2015 2:53 p.m.

kyuuri117 says... #32

Yea Didgeridooda has the workaround. Plug it into a VCR that actually works. Might be some lag, like a quarter/half a second, but you'll have color. Finding a VCR that actually works will be difficult though. And probably unnecessary, assuming your TV still has the AV ports.

June 3, 2015 2:58 p.m.

kyuuri117 says... #33

Lastly... you can probably find one of those old, big black box tv's for like, 10 dollars at a garage sale. Hell, maybe even free. People just have em sitting around in their garage and just want them gone. Just make sure it turns on and works before you take it.

Think of it like a giant game of RPS, where Aggro > Control > Midrange. Or something like that, idk.

June 3, 2015 8:29 p.m.

Didgeridooda says... #49

Many times newer players do not like control, but that is because their understanding of the game is not fully developed.

June 3, 2015 8:35 p.m.

I don't like control because it stops me from doing what I want. I definitely enjoy using a control deck as a challenge/puzzle, but playing against one is hell for me because of my playstyle.
