Beetles are not flies. So probably not. Elsewhere people could call them different though. To my knowledge they are a beetle and I really don't know what a mayfly is..
And I hate most insects.

How expensive do you guys think a deck should be to qualify for double sleeving it? I keep getting shit from my friends for double sleeving my $850 Kaalia deck and it's getting on my nerves lol

If any card in your deck is over 50$ i think you'd want to double sleeve.

My mono black Duel Commander deck is double sleeved, and it's only around $500. Ultimately, it's your choice whether or not you double sleeve or not, but if that's your Deck, the one that you gravitate to when reaching for decks to play, giving it the best treatment possible seems like a good decision.

Tibbles, the only deck I double sleeved is my Wub Wub Deck then I found out how much it costs to double sleeve, and I don't think I will be doing that to another deck.
Current card condition should be a factor in if you do it or not.
On a side note. Slugs are not beetle larva. Grubs may be what you are thinking of.

I double sleeve all my EDH decks. Why not? Keeps your shit good for a damn long time. It's gonna be super worth it when I finish my Hokori deck since it'll be over $2k. Only problem is that I find the cards slipping when I stack the full deck, haha.

I've got dragonshields on mine right now and all my friends get salty because it takes me a while to shuffle (goddammit sticky dragonshields) and/or find whatever card I'm tutoring for.
I'm going to replace them with hyper mattes once I can afford to buy 100 of them

Mine are KMC with the perfect fit plastics. I got them from a thing on Massdrop where it was three sets of 80 black Hyper mats and two sets of 100 plastic perfect fits for $26 or so after shipping. Sweet deal.

Dude that's pretty sweet. I've got the perfect fits but I want hyper mattes because I can't stand the double sleeved dragonshield shuffle feel.

No idea what I am doing. ESPN is streaming Dota the video game stuff. I have never seen it before, I have no idea how to play the game, or what they are doing, but I am watching. It is interesting. I am slowly understanding this game, and it seems pretty fun.

I don't think the deck would fit in the deck box with more protection, it's kinda small, and already a bit of a tight fit. Wouldn't want to force it with double sleeves, it might damage something, and spending the time and money to find and buy a new deck box isn't a priority right now.

I just have one big deck box, because the power levels in my playgroup are such that I would like to have a powerful deck and a durdly one for the same format just so I don't blow all the noobs out of the water if they want me to play with them. This means I need two EDH decks and two 60 card, so I need a big box to hold them all. I've never understood having a box for each deck.

bigguy99 Two deck boxes at once? Man, that's mighty brave of you. Your deck is very valuable, wouldn't want to misplace one of those boxes at the wrong time. Could cause quite an issue and cause irreplaceable damage to the deck.
Sagarys It's noon on a sunday man, still a bit sleepy. And yea, I agree. I've also been told that goldfishing to practice before a big dual can help you find the right plays. Seems like good advice.
ThisIsBullshit I think most people eventually decide that one box to hold all their cards is the way to go, but some of us like to experiment with all the different versions first. It's always exciting when you discover a new one, especially when they have other functions like holding your excess dice.

Is the bag you bring to fnm heavy? Cuz mine was hurting too a few weeks ago, and I realized it was my mtg bag. I have two trade binders, notebook for life totals, two edh decks, two standard deck, legacy deck, and a modern deck. It was like 35 pounds. Which, when it's putting the strain on your lower back the way back packs do, is much heavier than it seems.

Trying to figure out imgur. Got a cool thing. One of my favorite arts. The white dot was some dust from the card box on the outside of the hard case. Did not see it when I was taking the picture, and did not want to retake just cause of that. Why is it showing up so big?

Rush is one of my favorite artists. Tedin is another. Never thought I would collect signature cards. I might just try to get one from each of the older artists that I really like.
