I always wondered, do foreign cards cost less?
Anywho, on an off note, I've decided to get into PC gaming; consequently, my activity on T/O might decline because of it.

It varies. I know some people value them a bit more; others value them less. But foils, especially Japanese, Russian, and Korean, command substantially higher prices. Well, at least Russian foils are substantially higher. I've never really looked at Japanese and Korean foil cards.
Any chance you play Battlefield 3 on PC? I'm willing to play BF4 as well. But BF3 is better.

Alright, thanks for telling me. I just always wondered why people took a liking to foreign cards, so I figured it had something to do with price, though I wasn't sure.
And sadly no. :( By decided to get into PC gaming, I mean decided to build a PC and game on it. I will more than likely though be purchasing some sort of FPS once I have my PC though, and BF is a high possibility. I am more partial to MMO and RPG than FPS.
The good thing is that I decided to get into PC gaming! Yay! :)

People generally take a liking to foreign cards to pimp out EDH decks from my experience. That's why I like them. Plus they look nicer.
I tend to sway more to RPG's as well, but Battlefield 3 is probably my favorite video game with Fallouts 3 and New Vegas being a close second. Nothing is more satisfying than having the enemy team read, "NoPantsParade (or KittyTyphoon, I switch between the two names) C4 ..." Then have my name on the feed about 7 or 8 times in a row with C4. I think the name makes it more exciting.
The good thing about BF3 is that a lot of people still play it. I haven't tried Hardline, but I heard it's similar to 3, and I enjoy 3, so I still play that instead.
But congrats on PC gaming. It's a lot of fun, and you won't regret it. I just wish I had built my own PC, but I went with a laptop instead.

I have yet to try Hardline, but from the people I've talked to, they still like 3 better. Oh, and Fallout is awesome.
I always thought that it was funny when my friend would dominate a game and it would say JustBoughtThisGame did it, but I like yours better. XD

Anyway, NOICE CARDS! I'd say, get Lodestone Golem/Thalia for your EDH, and get Master of the Feast and Nykthos for that Standard deck (I also pilot that, except more aggro-ish.)

Asian foreign cards and the Russian ones generally cost more. Not many people care for the European languages if they aren't foil (especially Spanish). Foreign foils are usually a very small market and there are few items to compare, say, your Russian foil Future Sight Tarmogoyf to and so the pricing is very odd. Essentially you set a price you think it could fetch and lower it if no one's buying. Then there are cases like with Legends where the Italian cards demand much less than the English ones (for comparisons, go look at Moat, The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale, and Karakas). Then there are FBB cards which are obviously worth more than the English ones of the same set.

I've never opened a box and I never buy packs anymore, my luck is shitty and besides economics. It's like gambling - if you're poor, you'll end up poorer, and if you're rich, you'll end up losing all your money.

Tibbles, if it is an issue that is having that sort of effect on your environment, and you can not control it, I think if nothing else some counseling could put things into perspective for everyone.

So here's what went down :
I got paid $393
300 = savings for move
50 = rent
20 = Food
Total left? = 23 or so?
This has been my life since the end of December when they cut my hours to fix THEIR fuck-up. They were giving another set of people like 10-15 more hours per week then they were supposed to so they cut mine and about 10 others peoples hours by about 5-7 per week to fix it

ThisIsBullshit yeah I know the feeling. I'm pretty sure I've explained my story of buying almost 400 dollars in packs when I got my school check this past quarter and making maybe 80 or so in value back. That's when I swore off the pack lottery.

I hate to be salty, but I have extremely good luck with packs. I opened 2 last week, and pulled a Fulminator Mage and some other crazy money. I think the total value of those 2 packs was $45.

One of my friends opened two boxes of MM2 (that he got for free, no less) and got like 12 mythics total, including a Goyf. It was insane.
But I nabbed a Remand off him for like $7 before it started climbing back up xD
