Oh gosh, Maverick and Steve were bauls deep awesome at debate. They were also really cool guys in general.
In first year, I had the unpleasant feeling of getting "a chainsaw shoved up my ass" by them. They hands down rekt everyone.
We were on GMOs when we went up against them. We were on pro, they were on con. Our case had a meta study that showed the economic benefits worldwide form GMOs. We also had a decent contention covering the implementation of medicines, vaccines, etc. not to mention our point about being able to solve world hunger (actually a pretty bad point to use). They went on one thing. Genetic Roulette. Their one reason (albeit beautifully executed), absolutely destroyed our entire case. And might I add, winning a round on a case that used chance and potential effects is a very hard thing to do against a case that uses hard fact and statistics.

Pretty much yeah. As long as you talk enough to not give your opponents a chance, you're guarenteed to win.
So best argument someone ever used against me (they were pro for GMOS, we were con)
Us : ~We read over our entire contention about all of the health issues it causes, has caused, and has great potential to cause.~
Them (during crossfire) : "Everything that eats food is gonna die anyway. So why does any of that even matter?"
Us : ~self face punch~

Did Epoch have another debate on the site? I just enjoy reading debates.
Also, I'm finding Pauper to be rather enjoyable. I expected bland and boring, but when I can have a real draw-go Control deck the world is a good place. The grey veil that has cast a pallor across my days playing Magic these past few months has lifted. If only until Modern gets certain reprints.

I wouldn't consider myself a scrub when it comes to debating. I mean it depends on the topic. Clearly Epoch has a much firmer grasp on certain aspects of the game than I do, but I've never really had much to debate with him before since I often find myself coming to similar conclusions or, differing in minute ways that just boil down to semantics.

Epoch is definitely good at debate. Especially with speed. The speed he responds at sometimes leaves me like: "Holy shit, can a human even type that freaking fast!?"
But at the same time, if I were judging the "budget" thing like an actual debate, both would have low scores. Epoch would be winning, but at the same time, I'd feel like I didn't even want to make either one win becasue both scores would be so low.
I was in PF (Public Forum), and around here statistics rule all unless you are in Lincoln Douglas, then you're fucked if you don't know how to interpret things, whether they are facts or philosophy.

sirbar Sorry to hear that. One time in middle school my coach kicked a soccer ball from 10 feet away, hit me in the face, and broke my nose. Went flying backwards. Blood everywhere. Was fun. No concussion though.
Also, on a related note to my previous post, play The Stanley Parable at your own risk. It's a complete mind fuck, and as interesting, entertaining, and hilarious as it was, it's given me a headache and a minor crisis about a game that can be beat a dozen different ways while actually being unbeatable. And there's an achievement called "Unachieveable" with the description "it is impossible to get this achievement". What the fuck Galactic Cafe?

I dunno, thought it seemed interesting. And the narator was better than the portal one. But having one of your achievements be called "88888888888888" with the parameters for unlocking it being "8888888888888888888888888888888888888888" is not fucking helpful lol. These dev's are awesome.

Practice for football. Probably wasn't a good idea to play full speed without any form of pads.....
I didn't get hit with a ball but some dudes giant head. I'm a lineman so people are already up in my face. He stepped sideways and the dudes bowling ball melon head broke my nose sideways. It points to the left now...

And if that was the first time you broke your nose, a lot of the times they can fix any crookedness, so that might not even be a problem.

I have not gotten it yet and i didn't look it up either. I got the 430 door thing, the achievement, the welcome back, you can't jump and beat the game. I'm sure those are prob the easiest to get. Could prob cheat the 5 year thing with the clock but not gonna do that.

Also, I'm glad to see that you took steps to seek help ItchiUchiha117. I sincerely hope this works for you. But just keep in mind there are alternative methods as well. Mental health is something vitally important to maintain.
