Currently I make 65$/hr for labor and 35$/hr for travel.
Good times.
I also make 1009$/month for disability thanks to the VA.

So, I'm redecorating my room. I'm getting some sort of mtg themed poster/canvas for the wall and framing it. Also thinking of getting an oversized BLotus and framing it. Want to do something like this or this. Anyone know any good tips for me?

Citizenship in the community can be interested depending on who organizes it. When I took it we got to listen in on the local council of my city, which was rather neat.

Lol college.
I got out of college when they told me that they weren't going to teach me what I wanted to learn.
I went to the army instead.
Learned what I wanted to, met my first wife, did a tour to Iraq, divorced the first wife due to her having 2 dicks at the same time while I was deployed, did a tour to Afg, found my current wife, married the shit out of her, had a kid, and now I'm in a hospital with a busted face because I have something called "long qt" syndrome that makes my heart stop randomly.
Getting a pacemaker tomorrow.
It's been an interesting few years.
Also, the nurse here fucking sucks, like only let me get 3 hours of sleep last night because she wanted to chatter at me.

I bullshitted the entirity of my Stat's final research paper two years ago. I have mastered the art of making bullshit into a good readable paper that will get me a good grade, maybe I should go into politics or law. Also, screw APES. Tomorrow is the 5th day of school and I have a vocab test on 9 pages of vocab and a book report due on monday.

I went into electromechanical engineering expecting to learn to fix electronics. Got about halfway through the course and they flat out told me that they would never teach me that.

Ohthenoises From experience, watching Criminal Minds on a tablet or phone via netflix app is a great way to pass time in the hospital. The show hooks you pretty quick and it doesn't really ever get formulaic, so you keep watching it.
And sorry to hear about the shitty nurses, that's the worst. I've always been lucky to almost always have awesome nurses whenever I've been in the hospital. Just cooperate in the beginning, and eventually you get privileges, like being able to shut the door at night instead of having it open with light blasting into the room, and not having the damn pulse monitor on your finger. It's the little victories that count when your hospitalized.

ThisIsBullshit APES is easy (we get to retake every test 4 times) but I haven't opened my textbook yet so it's going to be a little interesting. Also physics is awesome. I took it last year and got two 5s on the AP exam. If you haven't taken calculus yet then the first quarter will make almost zero sense and if you have taken some higher level math then physics will make you want to punch some one in the face because physicists do things like cancel and multiply differentials (In the reals).

xzzane. Well, I passed tenderfoot and am a few things away from second class, that I did those things, but my leaders didn't know, so they wouldn't sign them off. And ouch Ohthenoises that sounds like a rough life, but a fufuiled one. Wish I could have that many life experiences(cept the first wife). Right now I'm waiting forever to turn 13 so I can start babysitting. 4 months to go.

Thanks for the kind thoughts guys/gals.
Wasn't saying it for sympathy just to put out that for only being 27 years old I have a lot of experience to draw on.
Being Jodied is the worst but it's easier to deal with when you have a sense of humor as a coping mechanism.
When we were heading back stateside we were getting a briefing about adjusting back to civilian life and one of the things they said was "and don't worry if your role has been filled while you were away" to which I responded with "yeah, my role was filled by two other guys at the same time!"
She was a bitch, a slut, and a control freak. I'm just glad I got out of that relationship.
My only regret is that the house we were looking at getting had a pool and now I have no pool. Le sigh. Maybe some day.

trollslayer I got Eagle on April 22nd. It's a great accomplishment you should pursue as much as you can.
Just don't put off the BSA Swim Test or the Eagle Project, those are big hiccups. XD
