He's going to be slotted in against heavy control strategies or decks with lots of 1:1 removal. Also, anything that has a boardwipe he will come in because he represents 9 damage if you wipe after the aforementioned play.
Also, imagine playing a Summer Bloom after playing Omnath....

It has to do with the number of followers, you can apply to get your religion recognized but it has to have a certain amount of followers, yankees fans are everywhere, that satisfies the army's needs for a "religion"

I was personally a huge fan of Annihilator, but the new mechanic does seem more flavorful to me. Also screws over auto-shuffle on the old Eldrazi for mill decks, which is fine with me.

Well, not broken per se, but puts the opponent on a 3 turn clock the instant it comes down. Hey, at least the planeswalkers don't have to fight Emrakul this block.
In other news, Shovel Knight is probably gonna be a playable character for Smash 4 by tomorrow.

So I built The Dreams of Eldrazi and my roommate came in say, I was proxying the new Eldrazi cards and he shook his head.
Upon asking him, he said I was gaining a reputation for being "that guy". the guy who can't wait. Is it generally seen as a bad thing to proxy and test out the new cards as they're spoiled?

Come down to a personal feeling on proxies. I do not like them, but some have no issue with them. I will play against someone who is using them, but it does not feel right to me.
It is a debate that has played out countless times on here.

There is no basis on whether or not to use or not to use proxies for casual play. The only thing that is there that makes the community divided on the issues are personal, emotional, cultural and social biases based off of them. Similar to most of the issues that can appear in a game of EDH, like the tucking rules and the "whether or not my play group allows infinite combos" thing.

My face is wired shut, I have a broken jaw that just had a titanium plate put in, I'm on a liquid diet, and I now have a pacemaker/defibrilator installed in my shoulder. I'm 27.

Just the all of me. I've been working construction for the past couple weeks and my body hasn't gotten used to it. That said, that sounds like it sucks. A lot. Worst I've ever had was getting laid up in the hospital after almost dying when 1,700 pounds of countertop glass tipped over on top of me. Still have a ball of muscle in my left thigh that doesn't work right six and a half years later.

Ohthenoises When I was 14 I had to have heart surgery (as a scheduled follow up to the surgery I had when I was 2 weeks old). The night after the surgery, I woke up from the anesthetic. I was not supposed to wake up until morning or early afternoon. Once you notice that tube in your throat, as you can probably attest to, it's really, really hard to let it breathe for you. So after panicking and almost suffocating, as I had no idea what the hell was going on and didn't know why I couldn't breath, I ended up ripping the damn thing out of my throat. For those of you who don't know, it goes like way down your throat.
Anyway, that sent all the nurses in the area into a panic attack when all the monitors started beeping at like four in the morning. I thought it was funny in the moment, they did not. Needless to say, they thought I was fine after that and moved me out of the ICU in the morning.

kyuuri117 I was awake when they had to put the tubes in. They put one down, then pull that out for a bigger one in and so on. They do this 5 times total before they put the actual tube down. I was awake for the whole thing.
I am not an emotional man but I nearly cried.

That sounds horrible. I can't tell if it's more or less horrible for being awake for having a catheter taken out after surgery, but it seems like it's along a similar line or horrible things that happen in a hospital.
