I am going to a noobies BFZ prerelease next week. The reason for this is that my girlfriends sister has never played before, so I'm going with them both.
If I do well, do you think it is morally right to surrender my prize packs to those that haven't been playing for years? I think its the right thing to do but if they proceed to open an expedition land I would be so pissed haha.

ChiefBell, I would keep a few of the packs (depending on how many you win) but yes, I would give most of them to those who haven't played as long as you just so that they can have the best experience being a new player at a prerelease.
As a side note, I want a tango or man land as my promo. But Ulamog would do too. :P

I like them because I need more fetchable lands for my EDH deck and I can't afford all the ABUR lands I need :P

edh funstuff and standard players. I don't get to go to any of the openning events for BFZ. Work scheduled me 12-4 all weekends they're happening. The shop holds the enets starting at noon. last signups at 1

I like them cuz they will slow standard down making 5 CNBC wreaths actually good, and thus, help make control good.
And yea, we have fetch able duals in standard. That should blow anyone who only plays standard away and make them want to get into modern and legacy, which willow good for the formats.

VampireArmy If you have the funds I would reccomend buying into the events even though you can't go and picking up the product later. This lets your LGS pad their numbers and increase prize pool support. It also makes your LGS look better to WotC.
ThisIsBullshit I like them because in the proper deck construction they are ABUR lands. Basic, basic, tango is a very real thing. It's also amazing for commander, tiny leaders, and any other format where you are in 2 colors.

@Runlue RG Elementals, RB Devoid Aggro, BG Devoid Scions, UB Devoid Processors, and W allies with either U or R look to be the obviously good archetypes. The other one I noticed is WB life gain. Joel Larsson did well with No-red Awaken at the community cup as well, but I wouldn't count on having two Planar Outburst like he had.

Yay! Just finished my playset of Hymn to Tourach. I tried to get different art for each one so I had all of them.
Then I realized Hymn Has 5 different arts for it...

See, I would have been fine with just the 4 Fallen Empires art for my playset but noooo. They had the make the (admittedly best art) FTV Hymn to Tourach.
The FTV art is really good though, fit the flavor perfectly. So I ended up with the FTV one, The wolf one, the table one, and the circle one. So I'm pleased but of course they had make 1 over a playset's worth of art. Cause non basic land cards need that much different art.

Used to be a custom card from squire1 and a 50$ gift card from coolstuffinc.com, we no longer have that deal with coolstuffinc so they couldn't offer the gift card, after that things just kinda fell off.
An example of the custom cards is like the one on my profile.

Nah i don't do much in terms of deck help. You have to post on my wall or have a super interesting deck to make me want to post to it. By interesting i mean something i know i can actually help with. I don't play a lot anymore due to other stuff taking up my time and $$$

I don't usually help out anymore because it seems that every time I suggested something, someone else who was more qualified would tell me I'm wrong and they shouldn't run that card so I stopped helping unless people specifically ask or it's an archetype I currently play.

I agree with Tibs here in the sense that this is a weird place. I only joined earlier this year and I kinda became an expert in the 75% Oloro deck, Boros Burn, and general EDH stuff. At first very few people took me seriously but now I have a rank of 153 (cause that matters) and people actually listen to my suggestions with a serious tone.

kyuuri117, I doubt that. She failed the first exam just recently. And even then I'm not interested in her at all. I did think she was interested in me at first, but then she got a 66 on the exam. If she's in love in me and what you're saying is true, then shit, she's going all in.
