on another note, on sunday I did something that made me unimaginably happy.
cast Copy Enchantment on my already out Sunken Hope. I had both Ulamog and Newlamog on the field, and had about 30 mana woof rocks and lands available every turn.
each turn I returned then cast both XD

I'm less interested in his cast trigger than his baby Jace ultimate every turn.
Depending on the point of the game I can mill you out in 3 swings. That's pretty nasty.

I wonder if Blood Artists quench their thurst, or do their artistic vigor prevent them from eating do to the valuable resource taking double duty.

My biggest issue with it is the best sac engines that don't require a mana investment are Butcher of the Horde and Nantuko Shade which make you really wish for Falkenrath Aristocrat and Cartel Aristocrat
But the fact that Cutthroat inky triggers on your guys is also saddening

Good sir, its a Nantuko Husk, not a Shade, (though Shade would have been awesome in Mono-black Devo in RTR/Khans standard).

Hey, it isn't strictly worse. Blood Artist only hits one player at a time, while Zulaport Cutthroat hits them all without targeting. Cutthroat also is better in Allies while Artist fits in Vampires better (though they both provide low amounts of tribal synergy). While Blood Artist could be better in a boardwipe situation, potentially killing everyone just from their own creatures' death triggers, Cutthroat works better for a deck that sacrifices creatures for value.
This is being said from the point of view of someone almost exclusively playing EDH, though. I'll include both, because they both do essentially the same fantastic thing.

I'm building R/W Anti-Metagame Allies (probably my favorite deck that beats the tar out of Abzan, Temur Ramp, and Esper Dargons). Spoiler alert: Gideon's really good.

VampireArmy it's actually 4 color using butcher of the horde and Abzan ascendency. You are thinking of 4 color rally, different decks.
Deriums CCGs did a deck tech on it on their channel.

So, I traded a buddy of mine a Grove of the Burnwillows
, Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, and $45 for Breeding Pool. Not entirely sure if it was the best deal, but the Expedition lands really have nowhere to go but up, so it should be alright. Also, for some reason, TO doesn't display the prices of the Expeditions correctly. This one is at a TCG Median of ~$110.

Btw Tibs, if you pull a treasure from that fatpack don't tell me, just say you got it another way.
My greatest pissoff is when I let someone else have a pack and they pull something amazing.
Then again I did that to someone once in Innistrad standard, guy refused a specific pack due to the artwork on it, I had a prize pack coming my way and told the owner that I didn't care.
Proceeded to open a foil GoST and a Snapcaster in the same pack that the guy had refused.
/shrug I dunno.

My first prerelease I rode with friends...we ended up having to leave early because of me and I felt bad because they were doing well so I bought each of us a New Phyrexia pack to make them feel better.
One pulled a Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, the other, a Phyrexian Obliterator. I pulled an Etched Monstrosity. 3 mythics in 3 packs though lol.

Well, it's been awhile since i've been on here. Sup peeps.
Ohthenoises Had preordered three fat packs of BFZ, decided to buy only two. Friend picked up the one I didn't buy, and told me "man, you shoulda bought this, i'm gonna get your expedition". First pack he opens, first damn pack, he gets the Overgrown Tomb expedition. Had a good laugh about it, but glad he got it over some random person.
And then I bought a box and got an expedition of my own so pretty content. How was everyone else's box openings?

Don't listen to Femme! You just need the right opener. For me the best booster-opener is my girl. After today's ripping session I'm now 2 Dack Fayden and 1 Sunken Hollow EXP richer.

I'm actually the designated pack opener among my friends who go to FNM with me. I have relatively good luck with this kinda stuff. Real life's getting in the way of Magic (and T/O) tho, which sucks because I'll barely be able to play until GP Atlanta. But hey, GP Atlanta. I ain't even mad.
