We were told that it was going to snow 8-12in today. We are more than 3/4 of the way though the day and it has only snow 3in...

I am sorely disappointed.

Coinman1863 it did snow 8-12 here.

My back is killing me from all the shoveling.

Coinman1863 says... #6

But ThisIsBullshit, Maine craves snow. We live for shoveling out of 3ft snow drifts.

Also it was 65 degrees on Christmas here, so screw Global Warming.

Happy New Years everyone. I'm spending my New Years' night in the best way I can think of: Borderlands 2. Such is the life.

January 1, 2016 2:15 a.m.

I spent new years eve playing Magic and Smash for 11 hours straight.

ThisIsBullshit I spent mine playing Borderlands 2. Similar sentiment to yours. xD

My New Years was spent working for 12 hours after a 10 hour shift yesterday, then coming home to spending four hours cleaning because if I didn't do it now, I wouldn't have the chance in a long while and I would end up with pink-eye.

January 1, 2016 4:20 p.m.

@Femme_Fatale I think your resolution should be to stop working so hard and give yourself more credit b/c you're amazing :)

So today I drafted a Conspiracy box with a couple friends. Had a blast and pulled the box's Dack Fayden. Ended up trading it and basically my hopes and dreams of playing Lantern Control to get EDH stuff and a few fetchlands. Seems pretty alright to me.

January 3, 2016 11:16 p.m.

Hello peasants. I'm here to take your goats and cause a ruckus. And I've got all the goats.

January 3, 2016 11:20 p.m.

Didgeridooda says... #30

I need to go through my stuff, and start trading again. Starting to get the itch on 2 new EDH decks. Red planeswalker guy, and the new 5c white ally.

January 4, 2016 3:22 p.m.

kyuuri117 says... #31

Don't build allies. Unless your intention is to, well, intentionally create a bad EDH deck and waste money doing so, then I would avoid it.

January 4, 2016 3:33 p.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #32

Allies is still pretty beastly when you are running clones. I had fun keeping the board forever wiped with Murasa Pyromancer + Progenitor Mimic.

January 4, 2016 3:46 p.m.

Didgeridooda says... #33

I ran 4 color (no red) allies back in Zen. They were good back then, and I won often. I loved that deck, and really wanted allies to be modern or EDH viable.

kyuuri117 I just really like them, and build on a really tight budget so they are good for me. Just going to take me a while to trade into the lands I need. I will have to go through, and see if any of the new allies are worth playing. I hope there are a few.

On a completely irrelevant note, SCG's website was hacked or something during their "Last Chance" Sale last Sunday, so they've extended it through tonight. Most of their stuff has just been lowered to match TCG prices, but there are a few outstanding deals.

Specifically, they've got Mod Played Umezawa's Jitte's (The original, not the horrible looking foils), for $17, if anyone is interested.

Unlike a certain Canadian, I'm not here for goats or the causing of any kind of ruckus. I'm mainly here because I want to feel like a part of the site again, because I feel a bit detached these days.

I'm about to watch the season one finale of Durarara!! It's been blowing my mind every other episode or so, and I've been thoroughly enjoying it. Probably the best character study show I've ever seen.

January 9, 2016 1:24 a.m.

Scorprix says... #39

Yea, same here. I've been incredibly inactive lately, and all I do is occasionally give advise. So how goes Y'all?

And vault, I have no idea what that is, but I just looked it up apparently it's an anime or something, so that's cool. As someone who has never really enjoyed anime, I feel a bit out of place sometimes since plenty of my friends watch it. Is there something one must pay attention to while watching it to enjoy the anime that I'm missing out on? I want to like it, but I find it dull, and can't figure out why not to watch Breaking Bad or Psych or some other show instead. Other than being drawn, is there a big difference between anime and non-anime shows? Is it the cultural influence that makes it fun?

January 9, 2016 8:40 a.m.

-Fulcrum says... #40

Scorprix, Anime is just the Japanese word for animation. The typical western animation is not usually as streamlined when it comes to storytelling as most anime, but there are exceptions. Examples that come to mind are Avatar: the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. It's really just another medium of storytelling, like reading comics or playing story-intensive video games.

There's always the possibility that animation as a medium for storytelling is just off-putting to you, but you might just be thinking about it in the wrong mindset. It's usually not about the medium itself, but rather the story told.

Animes often contain elements of Japanese folklore and culture, just because it's deeply ingrained into the mindset of the creators. It's similar to how our western cartoons (typically comic book cartoons) have elements of western culture.

JakeHarlow says... #41

I hear you, vault. I've been a bit of a ghost lately, too. I'm having motivational issues for, like, everything in my life these days -- even the things I normally enjoy. I'm gonna need to figure out a way to solve that.

January 9, 2016 11:53 a.m.

-Fulcrum says... #42

I know that feeling. I was in a slump for a long while. Surprisingly, magic got me out of it. I found an edh playgroup, and now I hang out with them pretty regularly for more than just magic. But I still haven't really gotten back into tappedout.

I've bought about $300 worth of panties. I'm gonna frolic in them all when they all get shipped here :D

January 9, 2016 11:09 p.m.

@Femme_Fatale 0_o thats either way too many panties or either 1 or 2 pairs.

which is it? too expensive or costco?

I guess it could be in between, but that isn't usually the case with that much money.

January 9, 2016 11:11 p.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #45

You just have to know where to look online DERPLINGSUPREME. You can get really sexy looking stuff that can last a while, for real cheap. Granted, they are hard to find but I probably won't need to find them anymore as I'm up like 100 pairs.

I got this for $2 CAD. Which is like, $1.25 US.

January 9, 2016 11:21 p.m.

wow. cheap.

I'm assuming it's for ease of use, If you catch my drift?

January 9, 2016 11:24 p.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #47

No, I use them legitimately.

Well, not when I first get them. I get too aroused when I put on new sexy panties for the first time.

That and fully lace panties. I have a habit of tearing them.

January 9, 2016 11:27 p.m.

@Femme_Fatale "I have a habit of tearing them."

With your cock? 0_o

jeez. lucky you.

January 9, 2016 11:47 p.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #49

My panties aren't hiding a monster! XD I'm just a normal sized girl here.

I have a tenancy to rip them in my arousal. I like the feel of my panties being torn while I'm wearing them, so I end up tearing my lace panties while I wear them. It's a desire that I can't really hold back. Sort of like children breaking crayons in half.
