I got a question for you all, would you rather have a swank ass (i.e. Foiled out) modern or legacy deck if you could swing it?

Awwww thanks guys <3
Maple syrup is great. And to answer your question, Coinman1863, I would take legacy over foiled Modern any day

You think that's bad? In Finnish, the song actually has the boy meet the dragon on a foggy night, fix his body made of paper, and then later on go onto abandon him. Then the dragon loses all of his scales and he still waits for the boy by the shore. I dunno why we sang this song in class. Shit's miserable. The episode with Fry and his dog always reminds me of this song.

If you really want to destroy your childhood, look up what the lyrics of Cotton-Eye Joe mean.

And then you have Ring around the Rosie...
That's another dark one.

Atarka Red is really fucking good
Went 3-1 at FNM then dropped because my mom picked me up early. Only lost to Siege Rhinos, and that was because I didn't draw my removal spells. Now I know why some people splash black. I almost lost to the mirror match. 'Twas fun.

There is one problem with being so popular on this site ... no one bothers to go through your decks because "oh, it's just another one of her decks". Lately, the past 5 or so decks I've made within the past 5 months or so (coincidental I swear) have gotten like, jack-all in coverage whereas I'm seeing a lot of other people getting coverage.

Femme's First World Problems... Uh...
I litteraly only stay on this site because of testing EDH decks and chatting, so I couldn't give less of a crap. And just being honest, I don't think any body else does either Haha

Whoops.
I just realized my comment comes off as kind of snarky and rude. Wasn't meant to. It was meant to seem lighthearted and funny.
Sorry bout' that.
February 6, 2016 7:30 a.m.
I just cycle my Bolas deck. It's a joke anyways. There's very few users on this site that I've encountered that can provide me with truly valuable advice for EDH. I just design my decks for my group and keep them private. I've never really tried cycling a large number of decks.

I basically have forgotten to cycle my decks these days. If I want help I post it in the forum or on the appropriate subreddit.
Otherwise, I have found rando's haven't been that helpful.

I've got the same thing happening to me.
That being said, caring about it isn't a thing.

Femme, scrubs get even less attention on their decks. We have to deckcycle one deck for months to get any attention. People are stingy with upvotes, and the ones that do well now seem to be the ones that use the extra buttons, and graphics.
Otherwise many people just click past without leaving comments or anything. I think snazzing them up has left plain ones in the dust.
February 6, 2016 11:51 a.m.
That's true. I think I value decks more highly if I can see that their creator put lots of effort into it.

I don't even bother trying anymore, I think there are so many non-competitive people on this site that it's not worth it to post in the deck help forums. I'd rather just ask certain people.
Also, I've found that nothing is better for deck tuning than playing the deck over and over and over again and getting to learn the nuances of the deck.
February 6, 2016 12:04 p.m.
Well, that's not to say that you can't get great feedback on this site. It just requires effort. Shotgunning it really won't get you far in terms of valuable feedback once you reach a certain level of competitiveness.

I am in pain. My back hurts, my shoulders hurt, my arms hurt, my hamstrings and calves hurt. Muscles I don't even know the name of hurt.
Dunno why I thought not working out for like four years was a good idea, but trying to get back into shape sucks. This has not been a fun 10 days.
I'm gonna have nightmares about resistance bands. My poor, poor arms.

Literally the only deck I cycle anymore is the User Specialities list. Like when I make a deck I know who to ask for help, and I keep it at that really.
Oh, and the return of Madness, possible WR Nahiri (Femme_Fatale?), flip werewolves, and some cool new mechanics?
Now that SOI has started spoiling, I'm going to plug this pic anywhere :)

You don't need to bother VampireArmy. I just miss the days where I was able to make a deck and before the first week ended I would get 40 upvotes.

So, my brother went to the LGS, four hours later, his trade binder is almost empty (he sold it all for the packs), and he has two opened boxes of Oath and a Storm Deck. Oh, and he still needs to pay me back the rest of my $40 for a Modern Masters box. Think he has a problem?

Hey guys , look at modern's "Diversity" as shown by the pro tour's top 8.
Also props to Lsv for getting another pro tour top 8, didn't think I'd see the old coot still keeping pace with people in a non-FoW format. What number is this for him? A Lot?
February 6, 2016 9:31 p.m.
TheNextRedDude How old is he? If he's young, he might just not really understand the value of money, or how these cards are basically cardboard currency.
If it was just his collection, that's a hard lesson learned. And he'll probably regret it within a few days if he doesn't already. Just don't let your parents or guardians or whoever re-buy him his collection. That defeats the purpose of the lesson.
If your brother is older than say, 17, there might be a gambling problem going on, rather than just an immaturity/lack of discipline issue.

I am too going through a period during wich I'm disapointed with myself, so I can relate to your situation... But the most important is that you've been able to talk about it with him, and as you do not want him to feel like this you will get the strenght required to work hard enough to achieve this goal!
It is not something easy, I know that from experience. Fighting against yourself is incredibly hard, but having people around that are able to push you in the right tracks one in way or another will always help you. c:
