holy shit man...
something needs to change, I know that much. I hope things get better, dude :(

I'm sorry about that man. The only thing you can do once you start to be able to fend for yourself is cut off the toxic people. They'll only bring you down. These days, even if it's your family.
On a slightly happier note,
There's this video of a little piglet dancing to "Work" by Rihanna. It's drop dead hilarious. It had my girlfriend giggling like she was five - for about ten minutes straight.
I'd link it but I can't access youtube from ze job.
Go find it.

I'm just tired. I can't even really express it because of all the mental health issues that would need to be explained for any of my insane ramblings to make sense.
I think I'm gonna go back to sleep. Sorry to be a bother.

@ItchiUchiha117 you aren't a bother. you are our brother. leam on me. etc.
we're here, man.
June 5, 2016 12:58 a.m.
Look man, the closest person to me in my entire life struggles with extreme mental issues. I know what it's like to have to deal with that shit, or at least have some semblance of an idea. There's no reason to apologize; we're here for you any time you need to vent. I find venting to be quite cathartic, and if you feel you can vent to us, then please do. If you ever need someone to vent to 1 on 1, open up chat with me. Just take care, ok?

Okay. Thank you, friends.

Tibs, just who I needed to talk to.
If I have a modern hatebears what stuff (aside from karakas) is a priority to get the legacy version of the deck up and running?
June 6, 2016 12:14 a.m. Edited.
Ohthenoises says... #20
Yeah, same deck, different name.
The modern list I have now is eldrazi and taxes anyways so eh.
I'm short the expensive lands which is a bummer but I have literally everything else
June 6, 2016 12:21 a.m.
ThisIsBullshit says... #21
The stuff I see in every legacy hatebears deck is Mother of Runes, AEther Vial, Stoneforge Mystic, and Thalias, plus the Batterskull/SoFI finishers. Most of the rest of the deck is pretty customizable to what you want and what your meta folds to. Phyrexian Revoker and Flickerwisp are also important. Stuff like Brimaz and Aven Mindcensor are optional.
The deck isn't super expensive until you look at the mana base: you're gonna want 4 Rishadan Port and 4 Wasteland, plus Horizon Canopy if you splash for Gaddock Teeg
The only reason I know so much is because this is literally the only deck Sneak and Show folds to. I have no chance of winning this matchup if the player is any good at all lol.
Edit: wow that got super long super fast

DERPLINGSUPREME Bruh. Fite mi. (but you aren't wrong)
On another note, has anyone hopped onto the Diep.io train? It gives me nostalgia of the days when Bubble Tanks was my jam. 8 year-old me loved that game.
June 6, 2016 1:10 a.m.
Ohthenoises says... #28
So Tibs, any idea what lands take priority?
Ports or wastelands?
Like I said, all I'm missing is lands lol.

Coinman1863 says... #30
Ohthenoises I myself play legacy DnT, two different flavors, and I would agree that wastes are the most important. Especially with the prevalence of eldrazi these days, killing their Eye, or Tomb is a really big swing against them.
As a side note, Imperial Taxes, which is the second flavor of DnT I run, runs MD Magus of the Moon which has been getting better lately as deck have been getting more greedy mana bases.

I was looking to have a conversion package for my modern deck (which it will live as primarily).
The other stuff I'm gonna build to. Not any legacy where I live so not much point.

well this morning was AMAZING. so here's some backstory:
my math final for calc 3 is split into a take home and an in class section. We got the take home Wednesday. the obvious intent was that you do the take home portion over the weekend. duh.
a week before we got the take home part, we got a practice take home part. the teacher's pretty cool, hence all the easiness. that said, I lost the practice in the void that is my backpack and decided to print off a second copy so that I could still practice it. The practice was literally just the last quarter's final so it was pretty representative of the actual final.
this morning:
I did the final over the weekend, but I had this wierd feeling that I needed to check to make sure I actually did it right. I went to my backpack, pulled out the packet, and saw it was blank. I immediately jumed to the conclusion of "WHAT THE ABSOLUTE HELL?!!!! MY FINAL IS BLANK!!!!" and panicked. because duh. so I thought to myself "what did I spend all weekend doing then?" and looked through my binder, where I found the completed take home PRACTICE test from a week prior.
so long story short, my test is due today at 5:45 and I have it half done. I need to wait to consult with one of my friends, which is allowed (thank god) so that I don't fail. hooray for skipping school to do school so you don't fail out of school.
so yeah. That was fun.
June 6, 2016 4:41 p.m.
Sounds like my high school years.
If you're anything like me your best work comes from under pressure.
Good luck sir.
June 6, 2016 4:51 p.m.
I once skipped school to finish existing school work in high school. I was burning out hard because of my position as captain of LD debate, work, SAT prep, and crippling depression. I turned in my work on time but got in trouble for skipping.
I got kicked off the debate team and given a week of detention. I could not have been happier. One of the biggest sources of stress in my life was gone and I was going to be forced to do nothing during the afternoon, meaning I could no longer work. I learned to sleep while standing up on day 2 and made detention into some lovely R&R.
June 6, 2016 5:03 p.m.
that honestly sounds amazing. I just need to get to summer and then I only have to worry about work which is surprisingly fun. I say that because everyone thinks working at mcdonalds sucks, but for a summer job in high school its fine. plus everyone there is like "this is a lame job so may as well be nice to my coworkers"
June 6, 2016 5:19 p.m.
I work full time for a temp agency that sources to a Fortune 50 (not 500) company. I have the work load and expected responsibility of a full-time employee, however I get none of the company benefits, receive no paid days off or vacation and essentially only make money when I work the hours, unlike my internal coworkers who make three times what I do on full salary and benefits, and do less work.
It's a grand ol' time.
June 6, 2016 5:28 p.m.
wtf bro? where do you work and was that literally the only option? how is that even a thing that a company can do?
June 6, 2016 5:30 p.m.
Because I don't work for the Fortune 50 company.
I work for the temp agency.
I've built contacts and experience over the last year however and have a contingent offer for the company starting in August. Albeit at a level in the company much lower than where I am currently, but that's typically how it's supposed to work. So that's good.
My grief is what started out as a job you'd expect a temp to do, for me, very quickly evolved beyond that, as it did for my most immediate coworker as well who became the sole overseer of a major repair operation (he's also a temp in the agency).
Working that hard and having that much responsibility with your only appreciative compensation being a pat on the back (after a year) can be fairly frustrating.
June 6, 2016 5:37 p.m.
Ohthenoises says... #42
It's how you get that "5 years experience" to put on your resume when going for a job. (to answer the whole conundrum of "how do I get experience if you won't give me the job because I need more experience")
Sounds like you're on the upswing TMBRLZ
June 6, 2016 5:43 p.m.
Didgeridooda says... #43
Keep working hard, make yourself valuable to them. Then have a well founded discussion about proper compensation. From what I have experienced a year as a temp is not uncommon. It is a seemingly long time, but just look at it as an extended probationary period.

instill a sense of trust in them and just when they think its safe... strike....
June 6, 2016 5:48 p.m.
HELLLLLZZZZ YEAH! So my teacher just decided "screw finals. The in class part is optional." And we were all happy. Because we were allowed to work with others on the take home part with others. So its practically a guaranteed A at this point. And I got to leave 5 minutes after walking into class. I honestly thought the person next to me was gonna start crying. This is awesome.

Pro_Noob Haha, wow. That's ridiculous. That's what I call being rewarded for misplays. :D
I'm personally super excited for this upcoming week. It's my final week of being a freshman, so yeah, I can finally play Magic 8 times a week and start all of these projects I've been meaning to start. I'm excited :P

Pro_Noob Super happy for you dude, that sounds amazing!
I'm really stressed about my finals though. I failed my Spanish midterm(but still got a B in the class), barely survived the Science, and Geometry was iffy at best. Spanish is notoriously hard, and the Science classes are nothing like the tests(tests are way harder). In Geometry, I just have a hard time with the concepts. I can do the math just fine, but proofs just absolutely destroy me. It's pretty scary, especially knowing that, as a freshman, it only gets harder from here.

That's awesome, Pro_Noob!
I'm currently taking ProbStat because it wouldn't fit in my schedule, and I had to take the hard version for it to double count towards MechE and my math minor. Two and a half hours of class MTWTh has been brutal, and I'm not enjoying it at all. One class won't destroy me, but I feel bad that my parents are paying for a class I know I'm not putting 100% into.
I wouldn't worry about it, amazingdan. Geometry can be a tricky subject for some- what do you take next? Algebra? Calculus? They're rather different sects of mathematics and might come easier.
