Looking for innovative deck builders for MTGNuclear website
Social forum

I've started recently a magic website which I write innovative deck techs on. I've been struggling to come up with new decks and I'm only comfortable building standard therefore I'm looking for other deck builders, in all formats, to help me get this website going.Anyone interested?

Just took a look at your decks dan8080 and some really caught my eye. I've started modern recently therefore the Sultai Bogles and 8Rack with red were quite the surprise. But that's what is important! Innovative decks! The whole idea of the website. Do you have any social media that we can set up a group with you and I and whoever is interested?

I am a big commander deck builder with over 200 decks, but to be honest I think I probably have a full plate of activities in my life? I don't know.

M a g i c a l H a c k e r just tried to look at your page and my iPad would lag so much due to the crazy amounts of decks. I understand that you have a lot of things to do, but if you're interested you could write a commander deck tech a month, because it takes much longer to write. Let me know if you are interested :D

Dorotheus quite a few strange looking modern decks that caught my attention. Just have a question about them. Are they playable? Or are they more casual decks? I'm new to modern so my knowledge on the format is close to none. But I can already see that you're a innovative deck builder so I'm interested in having you in the website :D

@ MTGNuclear you should look at grimcase21's deck Red Recall. I haven't had time to play test it or even gold fish it yet but it is certainly innovative.
November 18, 2015 5:26 a.m.
There are quite a lot of decks in states of testing, or that I never really went back to if they were unplayable. Some are challenges given to me and I see what I can do to follow-through.
There are a lot of decks I've created or had ideas for and end up trickling down into a deck that already exists and become scrapped.
I've helped people with decks all over Tappedout, I've seen a couple decks go on to get spotlighted to other sites such as this Maze's End list Summer Rogue Master Brewer Top 8 which is my friend borisk94. Usually I just need to be challenged or given a project.

dan8080 sorry, misunderstood your comment. By innovative I mean something that we don't see everyday. Something new or reviving a dead deck or just a different take at an important deck of the current meta

Dorotheus I'm quite interested in your deck building and deck testing abilities. Do you have Facebook so that we can setup a group to share ideas of decks?

I would definitely put my legacy list up for review, Hardcast Emrakul or Exsanguinate for 35? You pick.. If you want, I could also put my vintage lists up for interesting spins on common archtypes. I would have to revise them for the new banlist but that would not take too long/be too hard.

Well, what do you mean by a deck we never see everyday? We could always see an abzan deck at fnm but never see an allies deck being played. But these allies deck keep popping up here at tapped out and I am sick of it(I came up with the idea of autodamaging before it went crazy)
November 18, 2015 5:54 a.m.
I have added you as a Friend and Enabled Chat if you wish to chat on Tappedout further before we move to something like facebook. I've had experience with sites like this that promise to go up, and fall apart within a couple weeks. I have no problem jumping on board, so long as there is a strong consistent idea and fellowship going on. Other concerns I can address I will point to in a more private medium. :)

antidouchelord I mean in competitive tournaments such as FNMs, GPs and things like that. There are almost all possible decks here in tappedout being them rough version or very play tested ones. For example, we see allies decks here a lot but in tournaments it never pops up so we can try to build a playable ally deck so that it can potentially become a part of the meta.

Coinman1863 legacy and vintage are not being taken into consideration in big websites so we could definitely attract people by doing deck techs of such formats. If you could adapt your decks accordingly to the ban list that would be great though. Then you could take a look on how I wrote the articles of standard decks, get some ideas and see if you're interested in writing for your decks. Let me know if you're interested. :D

Are you looking for people to write articles, or just people to build decks and explain their thought process? I have some various brews that are public and private I would be willing to chat about, but I don't really plan on writing detailed articles.

MTGNuclear says... #27
It's not a super complicated article as I'm just starting, with time my writing skills will get better. Ideally, I would want other people to write articles of decks we have come up together as the website group.

Liimpan I'm interested in your deck building skills but it would be better if you were not limited to only mono black. Are you capable of brewing in other colours too?
November 18, 2015 9:06 a.m.
MTGNuclear yes, I am brewing Infect and Affinity right now and I'm always trying to find new ways to use cards even though mono-black is my main thing.

MTGNuclear, what formats are you posting. I'm interested in showing my Pauper Tragic Flashback: Cyclops Storm deck (It's a new take on the Cyclops deck). As well of janky Jonny-esc brews. MSG me if you're interested

Monsmtg all formats, but I'm not looking for a one time writer. I'm looking for writers that can write articles weekly or monthly. If you're interested in doing let me know as there hasn't been any Pauper deck builders here.
November 18, 2015 9:58 a.m.
I also have some new modern brews:
White Skred Shares Skred Red's style of control, reactive only hard removal curving into hard to remove creatures and walkers.
Every day you're shufflin' A pet project of mine. A control that kills you with shuffling and control the game by using spells like Praetor's Grasp to dissemble your deck.
November 18, 2015 10 a.m.
I can probably do monthly. I cannot guarantee that it will be super competitive 100% of the time. So only Pauper or what else.

I'm pretty big into commander and I could do the occasional Canadian highlander deck too
November 18, 2015 10:25 a.m.
MTGNuclear says... #36
Monsmtg it doesn't have to be 100% competitive as pauper is sorta of a casual format. As long it has some kind theme or be good against delver of secrets, it would be fine. Enable chat so we can talk.

logansullivan sounds good,... Even though I have no idea what Canadian commander is. As long the deck is competitive, it's fine. Enable chat so we can talk about potential decks to write on :)

So I just looked at your site, and have to say that no one should be taking you seriously right now. First off, Weebly. What, are we 5? Shoot for Wordpress, or at least pay for your domain on Weebly.
Secondly, downloading PDFs to view what's written? That's not ok. Your content needs to be available on your site at all times without a download. If it's on a separate page on your website, that will give your website more traffic because people have to navigate through it, and that's what you're looking for. If you want to produce content, that's great, more power to ya, but you need to know the proper ways to run a website if you are going to run your own website.
I get that you're just starting out, but what you've presented so far has left me with a bad first impression, and when it comes to your website, your first impression is everything.

I work with what I have. Can't buy a domain because I'm still underage. You don't like it? Well so far I've been getting a lot of people saying it looks good and people interested in writing. In the four days the page has been up, we have had over 250 unique page views. It's getting along. If it goes far, I'll definitely be willing to put money into this, but for the time being, as I said before, I'll work with what I have.

Define innovative deck techs. I'm not much of a standard player at this point but modern is my bread and butter.
