Looking to start Canadian highlander organized play around Minneapolis, Minnesota and I was wondering if there would be anyone local who was interested.
This is a link describing what Canadian highlander is and why I'm interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kv-AKGSJEh0&index=41&t=0s&list=PLV_qemO0oatiTbkSi8kx4Gk0BmJi0bpEN
If you think you need "power" or reserve list cards to actually play Canadian highlander then you're missing the point of the format.

Just got on tapped out. I frequent Minneapolis as the closest area to play magic. I'd be interested in getting together for some games. Let's schedule a time, if you get this message.

I see this post is very old but I am super intrigued by this format and have been obsessed with it. I live in Minneapolis and would be down to discuss decks and gameplay

I am not local, but I support all efforts for more CanHigh! The format is amazing - I started out with Esper Control list, built a UG Miracle Grow and am currently on UR Tempo with pingers. I am planning to update it to full control with a Splinter Twin wincon. My friend has built Grixis artifacts aggro, BG Midrange Rock, BG Aggro, Moro Red Prison, Mono Red Burn... The possibilities in this format are endless.
Having access to gold cards makes the format much cheaper than it would be otherwise and they make for great tournament prizes. For example, I have a gold-bordered Force of Will that cost me 6 euro (or about 8 dollars) and it is just as legal in this format as the black-bordered ones.
