Can any of T/O users recommend me a place in Nottingham (UK) for MTG?

I specifically want a good place to attend prerelease for SOI in a couple of weeks.

I am in London, not Nottingham, which is a shame.

Might stop by in London during a weekend on my trip, not sure yet. Which is the place you frequent, ChiefBell?

In Stoke-On-Trent where I live (only about an hour from Nottingham) Forbidden Plent do MTG events, maybe the one in Nottingham also does? There are several places in Stoke that do MTG events though if you happen by

In London I really like Dark Sphere and Forbidden Planet.

In Oxford I like The Gameskeeper - though they hold their events elsewhere because the shop is small.

In Norwich I like Athena Games. Probably the best shop I've been to. The store owns 3 floors (!) of space and people are always inside play MTG or YuGiOh or Warhammer or D&D etc.

I have played magic all across the south of England haha.

If there's a forbidden planet in Nottingham I'd give it a go. They specialise in comics and comic merchandise though, not MTG. However the one in london certainly does sell MTG and have MTG events. Can't guarantee that the one in Notts is the same but it should be?

sounds the same as the one in Stoke. They sell MTG as well as all kinds of gaming merch, anime, comic, used to be huge for videogames too

I have a few friends who live in Nottingham. They go to Waterstones in the city centre for the prereleases. Run by a nice guy called Paul.

I will be heading up there for the event on the 2nd of April with them so I might see you there.

Ill try and get some more information but currently have none to hand...

The other place in Nottingham is Chimera, but I've never been to it so can't comment.

Thanks a lot for the help! I'll check out the Waterstones place online and try to sign up in advance.
