So, I have a question/complaint about working out trades online..
Am I crazy to think that when proposing or organizing a trade online and you say something to the other party that they should respond? Even if it is not to finalize a deal or anything, just keep the dialouge going. I am on deckbox a lot and on that site you can actually tell when someone has read any message you may have left, it really grinds my gears when I see they read what I wrote and chose not to respond.. even if it's a quick "will get back to you" or "let me think about this" or just anything really. Am I alone in thinking that it is somewhat rude to not respond or am I just overreacting?
Sorry to the admin if this isn't the right forum, thought it fit but won't be surprised if it gets moved

I'm guilty of this to an extent. Like to the point that i even have a warning posted on my deckbox account about it. I sometimes look at a proposed trade then get busy with life and completely forget it's there. Those of us who work a lot or have busy lives tend to do that. Not purposefully.
In any case if you're just ignoring people for the sake of ignoring people then i just wouldn't propose any further transactions with that person.

ducttapedeckbox thanks, I knew I wasn't crazy
VampireArmy I didn't even know you could get warnings for stuff like that on there, I've got a few open trades right now that are deserving of that

In any form of communication, it's always polite to respond and keep the other party informed. When it comes to trading, I typically don't mind unless the deal is time sensitive or I have other offers for the card(s) in question. You are correct in thinking that a simple note is the best method.
