I have a game store about 25 minutes away and I'm 15 so I can't drive yet :( So what happens is I can only go two or three times a year. I'm pretty ok at playing, but I don't know which one to go to.

So should it be the PPTQ or Pre-Release? I'm thinking the Pre-Release.

Prerelease. Everyone at the PPTQ is probably playing for blood. The Prere will be a much more enjoyable experience, given that nobody will have any card advantage.

PPTQ if you want real competition, to have about a 50% chance, that your opponent is cheating and getting the taste of a real tournament.

Pre-Release if you like durdling around for fun, where taksie-baksies are no problem and everyone is only trying to open the chase-mythig of the set (in this case Monastery Mentor). Oh and your opponents will try to cheat you even when it's only for fun :)

Yeah thanks. Will go to the Pre-Re. Didn't realize a lot of people are cheating. I play competitive tennis and even at the national level only maybe 25% cheat.

If you go to a store where you have that kind of a problem with cheating or you're that paranoid with "shuffle-gate" and all that, you just need a new lgs. I think a majority of "cheating" at the prerelease will happen bc people don't understand morph/manifest and probably be unintentional since this set is crazy complex at the common rarity

I would recommend the prerelease, overall it is more fun and you are likely to get cooler cards and trades.

Most people don't cheat. It used to be worse, but nowadays there are very few cheaters, and those who do cheat are people who accidentally don't reveal their morphs or other little things. If you do see people cheating, just report it to your LGS. Soon enough it will be a safe and fun environment.

Prerelease is more fun and you get new cards as well for what you pay for.
