There's a deck in standard that I see the name of constantly, and seeing it pisses me off. Just because of the name.
That deck...
Dark Jeskai.
The colors it consists of?
It has
-
Blue
-
Black
-
White
-
Red
Now...
What color pairings does this make up?
Obviously Jeskai, seeing it's in the name now.
There's Esper, but it's not relevant in Khans.
Mardu? Ah yeah, black red white. Cool Colors. Now it just doesn't have blue...
Wait.
MARDU
BLUE
U
THOSE ALL RHYME.
So who is the heretic that passed up to name a deck with a cool rhyming name?
MARDU BLUE
or hell, even
BLUE MARDU
If Esper was relevant to Khans, even Esper Red would have been a cooler name than Dark Jeskai. It sounds like a name that 5 year old edgelord's deck on the playground is running.
Seriously, not much in this world gets to me, and this is one of my pet peeves and I've been wanting to voice my opinion and figured everyone else should agree with me.

It's dark jeskai because it's a jeskai deck that splashes black...

I would probably call that color combination Jeskai Noir.

It's simply because they started with a jeskai shell and added black to it. Had they started with a mardu shell and then added blue, there's a good chance it would have a different name. Like the mardu green decks (they started with a mardu shell and splashed green so they kept the mardu name instead of calling it abzan red) The fact of the matter is though, at heart the deck is a jeskai deck. It just happens to have black cards as well.
