Have you ever made a deck that you were satisfied with, that you were happy to play. I have had this happen in the past but it usually fades away. It happened once in theros standard and now with my standard mono black eldrazi. Both are similar, big creatures with control and a good curve. What decks were you satisfied with in the past? Post them.

I had a few decks that were 100% my own making without outside help or influence that I have had incredible auccess with and they were a lot of fun to play.

I don't have the exact lists anymore, but the fort time it happened was during the INN/RTR standard season. I played a Bant midrange deck that curved out with Prime Speaker Zegana and Thragtusk. Yes, I ran Restoration Angel, and I did it without having to be "told to do so". It worked with so much more than Thragtusk. She more often refilled my hand from PSZ in reality. That deck looked a bit like this:Avacyn's Pilgrim, Arbor Elf, Loxodon Smiter, Restoration Angel, Voice of Resurgence, Thragtusk, Angel of Serenity, and Prime Speaker Zegana. My spells consisted of Syncopate, Farseek, and Cyclonic Rift. Turns it a one sided board wipe is good in midrange. I rounded out with 3 copies of Garruk, Primal Hunter and boom...usually hit his ultimate along with an overloaded Rift to finish games.

The otherbtwo times this occurred was once early in RTR/THS when I made WUR control with AEtherling and Jace, Architect of Thought. The list was pretty close to what was too 8ing but I made it before any results were posted to go off of. It was fun but I missed midrange so I went back to a RUG mid build that looked a lot like this: Elvish Mystic, Courser of Kruphix, Thunderbreak Regent, Stormbreath Dragon, Arbor Colossus, Prime Speaker Zegana, Kalonian Hydra, and the like. I ran lots of burn removal and a few copies of Dissolve to help keep the pressure off. Cyclonic Rift was still my end of your turn power play.

Stuck with RUG well into the Khans block and then accidentally built a Craig Wescoe UW tempo deck that I am still playing. All fun builds and I miss the hell out of fun midrange like that.

The only decks I'm ever satisfied with are EDH decks.

Ghave that Bitch a Combo is my favorite. I spent a lot of time (and money) optimizing the deck to my personal preferences, not necessarily the best cards available. I've gotten it to the point that no matter what I draw, I have something to do with it and enjoy playing it.

In terms of decks that I've built on my own, my Jeleva deck The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen gives me the most satisfaction. I took a lot of time and money to build it the way I felt I needed. It can play well 1v1 but also has enough answers to play in a multiplayer game.

As far as other formats, I mess around with a variety of strategies and tweak them as I see fit. My Grixis Tezzerator The Walking Tezz deck is a lot of fun, and I'm happy I built it months before any rumors of Sword of the Meek being unbanned.

My only 60 card deck. is something that I put together with cards I like and enjoy playing. It's not competitive, but it's very fun in a casual setting.

I'm really happy with how my current IRL Karametra edh deck is turning out. I should really post that here.

My first competitive standard deck, RTR / THS White Weenies I was 100% satisfied. It was my first real brew I made that did well, netting me first place a couple of times. As a 15 ish year old on a budget going up against a competitive store of 20-30 year olds that was very exciting. I also played Mardu midrange during part of THS / KTK standard and although it wasn't a brew i thoroughly enjoyed playing it.

My beloved Daretti, Scrap Savant red control deck is my personal favourite. The versatility that it presents at all time has impressed me more and more each time I play it. Which is weird, because I detest mono Red.
