I am now aware I live within spitting distance of our lord and master yeaGO and also fairly close to many others... go figure.
On that note I figured it wouldn't hurt to advertise we are doing a free, any number of proxies allowed, modern tournament at University of Maryland College Park's student union tomorrow night at 8pm. This is intended to be a fun and fairly casual event to get more people interested in the format around here. As such the prize pool will consist entirely of donated cards, packs, etc from members of our group here and any others who are inclined to donate. As I said this event is not so much meant to be competitive as fun and a way to raise interest in the format. Any and all are welcome.
I know this is super last minute but it didn't occur to me to advertise it here until now.
This reminds me though that a broadcasting feature for things like this is in the works :P

yeah. and it would even push to everyone who has the TappedOut android app. I'm thinking of it as like a freaky little okcupid/tinder for mtg players.
but people should go to this too. :P

not yet :P
but it will do two things at first: notifications to your phone and let you broadcast to your local geo when you want to play some mtg.

The map gets REALLY laggy if you zoom out too much. It would be nice to have text statistics on how many users we have in each country/continent/state/something

Go to your profile settings. Sync your location. Then got to your profile and click on the little map cut out in the upper right corner. You can click on the map on the profile of anybody else who synced their location as well (example me or yeaGO in this thread) to see their location as well. From there navigate as you so choose.
