Hey y'all. I've never been to a Grand Prix or any event larger than just ones at a LGS and I was just wondering if any of you had experiences from a Grand Prix that you wanted to share.
I am definitely going to try and go to the GP in Miami next year so I just want to hear from everyone else what it's like. How did you like the atmosphere? The Competition? Any cool stories? Just share anything!

I'm looking forward to my first GP. I'm going to try for GP Denver on Jan 3-4.

It's amazing!
The atmosphere is competitive around the tables that are still live, but everywhere else it's like a giant convention. Vendor booths, side events, people trading, etc.
The competition is much higher than your typical fnm, unless you happen to fnm with pros/semi-pros.
You see some crazy plays, you find that pros are regular people, and Trading is hella fun. I traded up some Theros block things into a Bayou at GP Richmond in May.
