Okay, so. My trade binder went missing yesterday at my LGS. I looked everywhere there, but it didn't turn up. It also didn't turn up at any nearby locations where I had gone that night. The store owner is asking everyone if they know anything. Everyone who went to my LGS that night are people that the store owner and I know, with the exception of one person, maybe a few at the absolute most.

Yeah, it sucks if I don't find that binder (Based on my binder here, you'd understand why). But! That's not the reason why I'm posting here about it. I'm posting here in order to potentially figure out what my next step(s) are. Does anyone have any ideas?

Has the store owner checked the security cameras? Maybe there's footage?

Oh yeah, I forgot- The piece of fuck store owner only JUST told me last night that the security cameras were disabled. FOR A FEW MONTHS.

As you can tell, I'm still pissed.

You have a right to be but the more angry and panicked you are, the worse you're ability to think will be.

Ask the people you trust. Ones you know won't lie

Do you have any images of the binder? I'd hang up papers at your LGS (and anywhere else you can think of) with a description and a finder's fee. If someone's found it at an other location they might've turned it into to the police or other places they have lost-and-found-stuff. Really hope you find it.

You could go to other stores in the area and have the owners look out for a collection that resembles yours, in case the theif attempts to sell it in person.

Do you have a popular binder? Someone could have mistaken yours for theirs and have taken both by accident.

Good luck, I hope it turns up!

This is why large events come with the tagline "Don't leave your shit unattended". Always leg your bag on your chair, even if you've been going to this store for FNM for years. It doesn't matter how much you trust anyone, there will always be someone willing to steal your stuff.

For your case, all you can really do is post to your store's facebook, ask everyone you know that was there, and maybe make some flyers to post in the store for the week. Chances are you won't be seeing it again though unless whomever took it took it by mistake and is also a good person. Not to put a damper on things, but this kind of thing happens in the real world if you aren't careful.

what ducktapeddeckbox said tell every store in the area even a bit more out of your range the entire collection in the binder and tell them to watch in case they sell it thats kind fo the best thing you can do

File a police report! They can't do much for you, but it gives you way more credibility as far as proving ownership if you find out who took your stuff, or you see it online or something.

This actually happened to somebody I know a few months ago at my LGS .

If it happened a while ago, has anybody recently stopped coming to the store or been acting nervously around you? It may be them.

Also! Ask people if friends of theirs have recently come across any "random rares"...

Maringam

I haven't been able to come on here since last week; busy with work and stuff.

Anyways, I found the damn thing- One of my friends accidentally took it.
