Aether Whirlwind 3uu
Instant
For each attacking creature, it's owner chooses whether to put it on the top of the bottom of his/her library.

Seems like a great midgame sweeper for blue control decks.

Where is this though?

Wow. This is even better than Aetherize. And it can tuck commanders if you play in that format. That is a hella sick Turbo-Fog!

Found it on MtgSalvation

It's not up on MythicSpoiler yet, so I'm not certain that it's actually a thing. I'll wait until there are multiple confirmations to believe and therefore gawk further at it.

This card seems like a pain in the ass.

If this is legit, that's awesome! So far most of the blue cards spoiled for M15 have been kinda underwhelming to me, but this one's pretty impressive.

This one is a must have for all U/x/x control players, right now no one would play this over supreme verdict, but once it's gone this will simply fall into place.

Love it, almost makes me wanna try control post rotation.

Wait a minute..owner chooses...that's a little lame, but still very good.

I think the downside is fine. Top or bottom of library, which is their choice, is better than just returning it to their hand as Whelming Wave or AEtherize does.

Welp, AEtherize , you've been replaced.

I also find it really funny how people are saying "well, it's not on Mythic Spoiler yet, so I'll wait with bated breath until it goes on MS."

The big downside is "attacking creatures". This card seems pretty meh honestly. Kind of annoying for my Satyr tokens or a bloodrushed creature. Doesn't do much to stop Mistcutter Hydra or Stormbreath Dragon though.

Seems like it gets much better when Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver is in play though.

It punishes decks that like to tap out to attack, swing with everyone. So most decks.

It's now officially on Mythic Spoiler now. Funny thing though, they translated it to Aether Twister.

Assuming we ignore creatures with haste (Supreme Verdict wasn't exactly great for them anyway), it could be argued that this is what control needed for post-rotation.

I wonder if it's possible to argue that control has a decent means of survival now. Let's consider the fact that the biggest cards U/W/x control were going to be losing were the following:

The following cards could be used in each one's place (not that they are of the same power level, mind you.)

Let's face it. It was going to be a tough job for WOTC to print cards of the same power level as the ones that are rotating. These new cards do fill similar roles, though. The only real problem I'm seeing is that Resolute archangel doesn't draw you cards. And that does sort of suck. But at least there are things such as Divination and Jace's Ingenuity to help.

The new Jace obviously isn't as powerful as AoT, but again..I don't think too many non-blue players are upset over that. I think that these cards provide for a more toned down version of U/W control that isn't going to dominate the format but will be around.

I'm playing around with Esper Control for post rotation now that this has been spoiled, and let me tell you that it works. Lots of removal options, good win cons and not quite as dominant as this season's Esper/Azorius control is. Which is a good thing, in my book. I've been testing on Untap. In in Standard (I'm only using Theros Block and M15, mind you) and winning most of my games. It may be luck, but I'm excited. I love control, just not when playing cards like Sphinx's Revelation and Supreme Verdict . It makes things too easy.

Dalektable are you running Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver ?

Playing Aether Twister and then untapping and casting an Ashiok will be a blowout most times.

Rasta_Viking29 As a two-of, yeah. I can't wait to pull that off. Here is the list if you're interested.
