Am I the only one disjointed with the Planeswalkers of KtK so far?

I mean, maybe it's because I'm a noob... but I was expecting a few more planeswalkers than just 2- one of which is basically a more useful copy of an already existing planeswalker...

I mean, the new Sarkhan is neat, but... nothing's really grabbed me this set. Anyone else feel the same way?

Well there were only 2 Planeswalkers in RTR (Vraska and Jace) and only 2 in Theros (Elspeth, Xenagos). Why were you expecting more?

I feel pumped about the new PW's they're pretty good. At least they're not terrible

ok well my bad, but don't necessarily/always expect 3 PW in the first set of the block

In case you didn't know this, there are always 5 walkers each block. Wizards can space these out any way they want, but they normally do 3/1/1 or 2/2/1, just because the fall set is the largest.

I'm not too sad about it since I like both of them as characters and cards. Gives me more excitement for who's to come from the rest of Khans block.

I remember MaRo saying something along the lines of a max of 5 walkers in a block aside from the core set. He also confirmed that that will change in the Two Block Paradigm.

Basically every recent non-core set block has 3 planeswalkers spread through out, Zendikar had 6. 5 only splits into 3 so many ways.

Also, I suspect that given the lore hints and previews they are saving a double dose for one of the later sets to do Ugin and Nicol Bolas.

this block will probably get more than 5 throughout, I'm thinking 2/1/3, because it's going to start the two-block paradigm, where wizards wants to keep the number of planeswalkers in standard similar to the amount there are now, so the planeswalkers-per-set will need to be higher.

I think the new Sarkhan sucks, but I can't wait to play Sorin.

Sarkhan is just a Stormbreath that can get hit by Devouring Light .

Except that the set after it is a core set, where they always put in a buttload of planeswalkers.
