that there is a Rakshasa planeswalker, or at least legendary creature in the next set? heres to hopeful wishing! crosses fingers
I wouldn't mind a Rakshasa legend, but I think that Planeswalker's out of the question. Demons can't hold sparks properly; they're beings of mana, like angels.

Fulcrum I know hence the wishful thinking, I think the colorless theme will be interesting, because wizards will have to find a way to transition into this distant time of the past while still keeping the flavor of Khans! We already have been shown a past khan for Temur so we know the color schemes will be a minor factor in this new set. I'm guessing mono color casting cost, with secondary color abilities!
coming from a lore point of view this is very true erabel, I forgot they were demons lol. With this said I thought the same could be said about Devils though but alas we were the oh so shitty Tibalt, who is part Devil so idk hahah

I mean a legendary I almost expect, Planeswalker I highly doubt. It's a totally new race, usually take a long time for a race to get a Planeswalker card, Hell goblins and merfolk just barely got one.

and yes erabel is correct. THey are techniqually demons, and demons can't be planeswalkers, see ob nixilis...

I can see Lilliana turning into a demon, but in an uncharted realms article it said that ob nixilus lost his spark when nahiri put it in him, or it at least restricted him

Actually biggestmtgnerd I'm pretty sure he lost his spark due to the exotic mana of Zendikar. After he lost his spark he was still a powerful demon that could do some serious damage so Nahiri placed the hedron in his head to keep him at bay.

No, once again, overusing the Chain Veil turned him into a demon.

Just to clarify...
Demons can have a spark. However, like angels, most demons are created. Created beings cannot have a spark at the time of their creation.
They can be demons at the time of their creation, and later gain a spark, similar to how Karn got his spark.
As well, if they were born a non-demon, they can be born with a spark and later become a demon. - This is how Ob Nixilis managed to be a deamon with a spark. - After over using the Chain Veil and becoming a demon, Nahiri embedded a heron into him; removing his spark and weakening his body.
At this point, Ob is still a demon without a spark, but his body is no longer weakened. The heron has been removed and his body is recovering. He has plans on using the herons and the exotic mana of Zendikar to sacrifice the plane in order to regain his spark. (It sounds like a good thing that Ugin is being saved in a time travel scenario.)

It'd be pretty cool to get a new
commander, but don't get your hopes up. Seems like there will be a lot of colorless themes going around.
