So, out of the 106 currently spoiled Born of the Gods cards I can honestly say that UWR control has received one singular card that I would consider playing. Fated Conflagration seems like it might have a place in a sideboard against some of the decks that run larger bodied critters. Other than that, I am still on the fence with this one.
That said...what do the rest of you think about Fated Conflagration ?
Oh! and Temple of Enlightenment is clearly going to replace my Azorius Guildgate , but...duh!
Not to mention that since it doesn't target players but rather planeswalkers directly, it can deal more damage than its mana cost and still be balanced.

If I pull it in prerelease, I'd probably use it if I run red. However if I pull Birnaz? White Weenies all day.

Kudos to Wizards for making a card that takes care of Elspeth, Sun's Champion and Polukranos, World Eater in red. Also, no matter what, if I pull Chromanticore in the prerelease, I'm playing 5 color for fun.

It's interesting, but unplayable. Thing is, you need heavy commitment to red to cast it, and every RDW has a curve to low for it, and it can't even go to the face. I guess it could go in big red, but that deck already has better options in the form of Mizzium Mortars and Chained to the Rocks (on the splash).

american control, in mine ive got 4 temples, 8 shocks, and 1 mountain that all add red mana, and could exchange a guild gate or 2 if needed, this destroys Mizzium Mortars for what i use it for, blood baron, with 4 Supreme Verdict i just need another answer to obzedat outside of turn/burn

Very true, it can take out a Ghost Dad where most instant speed removal fails. Not only that but it can wipe out an AEtherling when they don't expect it, like when they tap out for their Sphinx at the end of your turn.

That's the first burn spell to target a planeswalker.
