Personally, this is one of the first cards in the set, that personally interests me. I think it is deceptively powerful in the WW archetype as going from having 2/1s or 2/2s to 3/2s and 3/3s is a great upgrade overall.

I'm gonna go sleep now, but, thoughts?

Anafenza, Spirit of the Family Tree

WW

Legendary Creature - Spirit Soldier

Whenever another nontoken creature enters the battlefield under your control, bolster 1. (Choose a creature with the least toughness among creatures you control and put a +1/+1 counter on it.)

They tortured her for honoring her ancestors; now she walks among them.

White aggro could be a thing. Got some nice new stuff in dragons.

I wish she was a human, but she'll fit nicely in a deck with Champion of the Parish

I really like this. Would look great in D&T or Hatebears, maybe even Zoo. The WW is a sticking point, but I still think it can fit in that shell.

If this didn't say "non-token" I'd run her as the general of my Soldier tokens deck in a heartbeat. Watch Me Crank Out Soldiers, Boy

Nice art. Just a bit to ineffective ability, it would have worked wonders with tokens.

canterlotguardian It would be broken as hell. T1 RW Tapland T2 Anafenza T3 Hordeling Outburst for 3 2/2s... I'd love it

Blind_Guardian: How do you do that with your name?

Blind_Guardian: NVM, I saw the Storm Crow deck on your profile. That name probably took some hard coding.

Hate to be a dick but the top of the spoiler thread states:

"In an effort to cut down on the number of spoiler threads, this Community Discussion will serve as the site's official Dragons of Tarkir spoiler and speculation thread!

Feel free to discuss any spoiled cards or speculate on unrevealed cards! Post images or links as they become available!"

Please don't make separate threads for individual cards UNLESS they're format specific and discussing decks that they might fit into in that format.

@ChiefBell

Ah, well, I haven't been on much recently so I hadn't read that, thanks for the update.

(As a side note, although the redundant posts were getting old I'm not really a fan of trying to find the discussion for a card in the now 60+ pages of material. I think a new system needs to come around in some variation.)

Anyway, I came back to mention, in terms of Modern, this seems very fun with Kitchen Finks in the Hate Bears archetype in particular.

As for Standard, personally, I still doubt that a WW deck will be anything more than fringe capable as, honestly, I think the archetype has been dumped on in Dragons, honestly. The best white cards are geared towards other archetypes overall. Ojutai Exemplars is a bit of both (Jeskai tempo/WW), but other than that, I don't like really anything else that is WW-esque.

Discussing a new system now.

The card, IMO is not really great in Modern, as the nature of Bolster means that you will have trouble targeting the creatures you want to, most of the time.

This is, however, a 2 of in Legacy D&T imo. I will be hoarding foils.
