LotV didn't see a reprint in M15 b/c she was too strong for Standard. I don't know if that will change with Siege Rhino rotating out of Standard when SOI comes out.

Given the image of the bloody feather and the warping symbol in the trailer, could be see some fallen angels in the set? The white of the former legendary angels replaced with black mana?
Maybe Avacyn and Griselbrand have combined into a gestalt being... Avagrys? (Yeah, not happening but c'mon, it'd be funny -- B/W Legendary Creature -- Demon Angel)
I'm just hoping for a good U/G legendary... Ludevic, perhaps?

Skulloelegy - Except Liliana killed Griselbrand. It's probably Sorin coming back to Innistrad, Lili shows up for good measure, and something bad happens.
Things I expect in SOI: DFC's, Morbid, Graveyard Mechanics, Monster Tribal
Things I don't expect: Flashback, Soulbond, Miracle

I'm not surprised, especially given some of the things Ugin said to Jace at the Eye of Ugin (essentially, jace is being sent to find Sorin and/or Nahiri).
I want a new Tamiyo walker, and maybe vampire tribal will get something new.

I'm pumped for this. I'm really hoping for Tamiyo, LotV or maybe a new Liliana. I doubt we'll really see the Snapcaster reprint, but it would be awesome.

Cavern of Souls could be a legitimate reprint. Although I could see 5-color Eldrazi becoming a real deck with that reprinted. An uncounterable Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger would be hard to beat. Also, name human and have an uncounterable Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip :p

I am specifically excited because this was, far and away, the best set to draft....by a long shot. It had amazing balance. It was intricate. It gave birth to one of the finest standard seasons ever and just..... oh..... <3

It was the set I started the game in so I'm pumped to visit my roots. I look back on Innistrad as my favorite time playing magic.

so... are there any planeswalkers that may have a reason to go to Innistrad (or still be there) in the near future? I'm thinking of Nahiri, Sorin and/or Liliana.
(I'm guessing we won't get a reprint of Liliana of the Veil)

I think we'll probably just get a new version of Liliana. I'd be fine with Tamiyo, the Moon Sage because she's awesome, but I wouldn't mind a new version of her as well.
I'm really hoping we keep a lot of original Innistrad mechanics too

Dark Confidant was a format altering player designed rare for 2cmc with a p/t of 2/1.
When we returned to Ravnica, instead of a bob reprint, we got a shitty spoof mythic in the form of Duskmantle Seer.
Snapcaster Mage was a format altering player designed rare for 2 cmc with a p/t of 2/1.
I cannot wait to see what shitty spoof mythic we get this time

I believe that Liliana of the Veil was too strong for standard with MBDevotion as a deck, not in a vacuum.

I think we are more likely to see a new Liliana then a Liliana of the Veil reprint as she has the fewest number of versions out of any of the orignal 5 planeswalkers. Also it is very likely LotV gets a modern masters type set so it makes more sense to put a new version in Shadows over Innistrad over a reprint.

Theory time.
By the end of the Tarkir block, Sorin reluctantly agrees with Ugin to go and search for Nahiri. It is probably safe to assume that she is not on Innistrad, otherwise there would have been mention of her the last time we were there. Knowing this, it is also safe to assume that Sorin most likely will not be on Innistrad during our re-visit because he will be amongst other planes looking for Nahiri.
So after seeing the tombstone and trees warp at the end of the Shadows over Innistrad teaser, the gears in my brain started turning. We know that the Eldrazi's story will be continued over several blocks. We also know that Kozilek and Emrakul have not been seen on Zendikar for some time. We know that Kozilek has the ability to warp reality around it (hence the tombstone) and Emrakul warps living things (the tree branches). If we take the title of the block literally, it could mean the immense shadows of Eldrazi looming over the plane.
I'm probably thinking too far into this lol.
As for reprints, I don't think we'll see Snapcaster Mage or Liliana of the Veil. Snappy would be too good in Standard with all of the commands and baby Jace. Liliana, as far as I know, has no reason to return to Innistrad because she has already killed Griselbrand.

I'm also looking forward to better green tribal humans. Out of all the colors, green is the weakest, least represented.

Ignoring the possibility of Eldrazi because Innistrad is my favorite plane of all time and the mere concept it could be erased from existence is too much for me.
Avacyn's time in the Helvault infused her with black mana. It has been growing within her slowly, kinda like the Veil-curse in Garruk. When she used the Cursemute, she expelled a lot of the white mana within, which allowed the stain of the Helvault to take root. That's why her symbol was falling apart, that's why the angel feather turned dark, and that's why the trees were dying (the Cursemute was originally intended to fuse the "wild" aspect of lycanthrope, i.e. nature).
