Screw you wizards seriously why print this just after we've got out of shocks and checks being in standard granted its not as good as that but still i thought they were trying to slow things down and get people to focus a bit on mono-color decks this completely screws that. At least it will make for interesting decks.

Why do we want to limit people to mono colours anyway?
Encouraging two colours or 3 is good.

People are focusing on mono colors more than ever. Both Mono-Blue and Mono-Black are Tier 1, and the other three colors can be quite strong by themselves as well.

Also there is a new cycle of things that check for amount of basic lands.
Squelching Leeches , Scourge of Fleets and Spawn of Thraxes
They might probably end up as limited all stars only, but still...

At least I can use Mana Confluence to play my foil Storm Crow . As the Chosen One, I need fancy lands to play the best card in existence.

It's a lot like the base of creation myths, where in the beginning there was nothing, and then there was primordial ooze (the water in the rivers). As time went on, things happened and the gods were formed, along with the world.
