For all you who play black or have a keen idea of what may be to come in KTK. Do you think we will see more black removal? If so will it be a reprint? Of what? What we have seen thus far won't cut it IMO.

well mono black removal isnt that good but multicolored with black is fantastic

Do you think we'll see any black/green removal? The loss of Abrupt Decay and Putrefy is painful!

We won't see GOOD removal. Wizards has stated that in order to make standard appeal to new players and make more creatures constructed playable efficent removal and counterspells are being kept out.

Standard: I think some mana bases will 'stretch' (although not far because is a multi-colour format) for Utter End otherwise just run Hero's Downfall , Bile Blight , Silence the Believers , Gild ect. the removal is already soo good..

Limited: Looks for the most part like tapping out creatures and having clans bash heads with other clans. Abzan looks like it might have a good run with Suspension Field , End Hostilities , Duneblast and Abzan Charm being in their colours. There is also some fine cheap hand disruption in Despise

It would obviously easier to balance mono colored removal in the upcoming non-wedge set(s)

Rite of the Serpent

4BB (Rarity Unknown)

Sorcery

Destroy target creature. If that creature had a +1/+1 counter on it, put a 1/1 green Snake creature token onto the battlefield.

6CMC, single creature removal at Sorcery speed with slight situational upside. If you've come to Takir looking for efficient removal you've come to the wrong place.

SoPringles: It's not all that bad though. Murderous Cut can be cast for because a lot of decks do have 3 or 4 cards lying around in their graveyard.

It's going to be at a bit more of a premium though. BW or BWu midrange/control will probably be a thing: between black/white removal, black/blue card draw, and white/black wraths to support ashiok/Elspeth I could still see it.

i think Thoughtseize , Brain Maggot , Hero's Downfall , Bile Blight and Murderous Cut are a fine start.

even Ulcerate might be worth a shot to deal with Zurgo Helmsmasher , Goblin Rabblemaster , War-Name Aspirant or other hyper-aggro threats. 3 life isn't too steep of a price to pay for some of the aggro creatures that will be standard legal, but it could just be a sideboard card due to all the battle cruisers coming out as well.

i am going to miss Abrupt Decay and Golgari Charm as well as the lifegain from Scavenging Ooze in my Bg deck. Reclamation Sage and Sultai Charm are two options i'm looking at at least for non-creature removal. Unravel the Aether is alsto sticking around to deal with gods.

i'm honestly more worried about all the creatures leaving black. namely Pack Rat , Pack Rat , Pack Rat , Pack Rat , Pack Rat , Pack Rat , Pack Rat , Pack Rat , Pack Rat , Desecration Demon and Pack Rat .
