Bounding Krasis + Splinter Twin (or a worse variation)

So given how MTG likes to bring back old cards in new watered down versions but sometimes does reprint powerful cards, do you think we'll be seeing a new Splinter Twin type enchantment, a reprint or perhaps a one time use version of it like an instant to enable combo with leaping Krosis?
Of course it's also possible they won't put in anything to create infinite creatures for a turn, but I suspect at the least we'll have an instant, like how Retraction Helix is neccessary for the Midnightguard + Ornithopter + Alter of the Brood combo. Even if they printed a new 1 time use instant combo enabler that enabler might not grant the creatures haste, meaning you would need Temur Ascendancy to combo out bringing the total number of pieces to 3, which is much more inline with what they want for infinite/endless combo loops.
For an example of printed watered down versions of things look at Evolutionary Leap compared to every single green filtering enchantment played in competitive commander, or how Liliana, Heretical Healer Flip has no immediate impact compared to Liliana of the Veil, or how Bloodsoaked Champion is a harder to recur Bloodghast...the list goes on and on.
The instant portion I mentioned wouldn't grant haste. The text would be like this: Until end of turn, target creature gains "Tap: Put a token into play that's a copy of this creature." So you would have infinite creatures but they wouldn't have haste. This means you'd need another piece like Fervor, Temur Ascendancy or Mass Hysteria.

Isn't there a way to go infinite with Mirror Mockery and Breaching Hippocamp and Hammer of Purphoros in a u/r control shell?

yes, it would. Why did I think that creatures can attack multiple times a combat phase?

Yeah not granting haste doesn't really stop it. Basically, Splinter Twin decks would still play Twin, but they would also play this thing so they can combo at instant speed against decks with removal, which would make pretty much every matchup favorable for them.

Addendum: I guess if you exile the tokens on upkeep instead of at the beginning of end steps, then you can stop people from comboing in the end step and it's probably fine.

What if they made a sorcery that does the same thing?

i think a sorcery would be balanced and it would be awesome with pyromancer's goggles. if you have a krasis and a hippocamp and cast the sorcery with the goggles then you can be pretty resilient against removal.

Instant-speed Splinter Twin would have to be 6-7 mana in order to avoid cracking Modern in half.
