What are some cards that we might potentially see reprints of in this block? Many cards deserve reprints, many cards would fit the theme behind the block. What are some cards you think we might see in the coming sets?
Im betting on a Shadow of Doubt reprint. It would certainly be good in new standard, fetches and all. Anyways, thanks for looking.

It's highly unlikely, coming off of RTR, that hybrid mana would be a thing in khans.
Also consider the info that Khans is set to be the only set like it in the block. I haven't delved too deeply into the news about the set, but as far as im aware, this set is the only multicolored set to be included, which means that we should be expecting a more of a cooled down version of khans that ould literally include anything.

there was no announcement that this would be the only multicolored set in this block. The only thing that was said, was it was the only set focused on wedges. The other sets might have some wedges, but it won't be the focus of the set.
I am leaning on the second set being more mono colored, and the last set having enemy colors with the other fetches coming in that set. No real reason to lean that way, but it is what I am thinking.

Tarmogoyf in Fate Reforged. You heard it here first folks.

I hope fetches get reprinted so I can use Verdant Catacombs and Marsh Flats in standard. Will probably pick up reprints for cheap with the new boarder.
I still think we'll see a Mutilate reprint. More powerful yet balanced in a slower setting.

The only news we've heard as to color themes is that the block is not wedge themed altogether. However, because when asked about the asymmetrical focus of the wedges, it was answered that it was for a reason that cannot be delved into yet (pun intended), this make me think that the last set will be the symmetrical focus or less likely the other asymmetrical focus.
As for reprints, I'm hoping for the other fetches in the third set, but even more so, I'm hoping for non-dual fetches (mono) at uncommon rarity in fate reforged. That'd. Be. Amazing.
For clarity:
Awesome name
Land
, Sacrifice ~, Pay 1 life: Search your library for a mountain card, put it into the battlefield, then shuffle your library.

Well I was hoping for Tombstalker as soon as I saw Delve was a thing then Necropolis Fiend dropped this set instead. Why you do this to me wizards???
Dragon Roost might drop as a flavor based card, Crucible of Fire dropped in m15 for the dragons that are coming.
For the fetches Tunnel Ignus , Aven Mindcensor (We have bird people like Jeskai Windscout so Mindcensor would fit in)
Temporal Extortion , Dash Hopes If we get some time travel going on, also have some cool art with bolas on it. Ugin's Nexus would mean something with Temporal Extortion

Temporal Extortion
and Dash Hopes
are both very off-color abilities that probably wouldn't be reprinted.

I disagree. Black is allowed to do pretty much anything for the right price. Both cards are very black flavorwise, even if their effects are a bit unusual. I could maybe see something like "for each opponent, that player may pay half their life, rounded up. If they don't, that player skips his or her next turn" sort of thing, which is very similar, though a bit different, and is a blue ability in a different way than it was before.

I bet on Ghostfire . Is there even the possibility they won't include. I'd also like Logic Knot but that depends on the way clans are going to be represented mechanically in the upcoming sets

I was taking apart an EDH deck last night to put together a Sidisi, Brood Tyrant deck, and I saw Lord of Extinction . I don't know why, but I think it is going to see a reprint.
September 18, 2014 6:12 a.m.
NoPantsParade - Lord of Extinction might see a reprint, but considering how the main mechanic for Sultai is delve, which exiles cards from the graveyard, I doubt we will see it. We already have Nighthowler from Theros.
It also seems a bit overpowered for WotC to reprint in Standard.
derKochXXL - Ghostfire could be a good bet, it would be nice to see some more colourless spells to play with Ugin, it also makes the likelihood of a colourless artifact deck appearing in standard, which after the artifacts printed in M15 and Ghostfire Blade in Khans might be a good bet.
They also mentioned in an article on Daily MTG how they did look at putting the 3 delve spells from Future Sight into Khans but never found a place for them, it kind of depends what happens in the next 2 sets. Considering it's a time travel story and the possibility of the Clans not existing in block 3 I'm hesitant to say we will see them.

fate reforged is just the reserved list. calling it.
more seriously, if Ugin's Nexus is in here, we've got to have some level of extra turn cards coming up. gonna be fun.

My guess on the Damnation reprint is that it will be in the new commander sets this fall.

asasinater13 says... #20
yeah. mono black commander deck will need a board wipe and we have a perfect time to see Damnation
again. a bit more powerful than wizards wants in standard I think, mono color and four drop board wipe is something we haven't had recently.

From what MaRo had said Supreme Verdict will be the last 4 CMC wrath we will see in standard for a while
September 18, 2014 2:09 p.m.
Not sure why... just seems like a card that would do a lot right now.

I don't think Timely Reinforcements is likely, since they are pushing warrior tribal in ktk. So they'll probably explore that further.
Also, I just listened to the LR set review and I just came to realize that Shatter and Naturalize are in ktk. Does this imply artifacts to be a thing in Fate Reforged or the third set? (This would also explain the artifact subtheme in M15).
September 18, 2014 2:35 p.m.
derKochXXL - with Ugin practically confirmed for Fate Reforge, I think it's highly likely we will see artifacts and colourless spells in that set. They need a way they can draft Khans and Fate together, so having colourless cards would help to make things easier during drafting/sealed.
I had noticed Shatter was in Khans, but hadn't paid it much attention. There are 14 artifacts in Khans, 5 of these are banners, and there's nothing really overpowered apart from Ugin's Nexus , so I doubt they included it just to help people trigger that. So that seems like some good indication for some stronger artifacts in the Fate. I don't think it will be in the 3rd set, as that won't be drafted with Khans.

Fate Reforged will probably consist of primarily colorless and some colored spells that function as colorless spells (see Ghostfire )

Is an Island reprint too much to ask? I feel like it's too OP for a standard set, to be honest. But maybe...

I pulled out my Nosy Goblin playset expecting it to be reprinted.
