Counterbalance
So, I was thinking that maybe, since it's a $15 uncommon with one printing, it might see a reprint. It makes a good archetype alongside something like Serum Visions (which is likely to see a reprint)... I don't know.

Maybe I can hope for this?

*It makes a good drafting archetype.

It would be a good reprint, however it might be odd because it's not really played in Modern at all. It's a Legacy card. If it's not included, I imagine that would be the reasoning- I do, however, think it's distinctly possible.

its a $15 uncommon because of legacy not modern and it seems like a bad print especially in mm2 where people will be drafing affinity and emrakul, karn tron/other ramp

We also don't know the other archetypes that are going to be around yet either, we don't know enough about what is in there to say that a certain archetype will/won't be supported other than we can assume affinity is back to some sort and that karnrakul is a thing

In MMA 2013 we had reprints of both Engineered Explosives and Chalice of the Void. These cards see little to no modern play, but are common SB cards in legacy

It's entirely possible

I mean, Bridge from Below isn't a modern card by any stretch of the imagination either. This reprint is a possibility.

Serendipitous_Hummingbird actually Engineered Explosives is a very common modern sideboard card, and I have seen Chalice of the Void as well.

Wouldn't mind seeing it, so long as they don't change the art. That's a pretty card. I think it would be fun to draft. To be honest I'd been hoping to see it in Conspiracy.

Seems like it'd be a weird choice.

I'd be ok w/ Engineered Explosives, Chalice of the Void and AEther Vial all come back for round 2. The demand is there for all 3 for sure since so many different decks do pack them.

Fish in modern runs chalice, but I can't think of a single modern deck that packs the explosives. Maybe if your local meta is token heavy, or if BW tokens breaks into tier 1, it could become big. But aside from that, I doubt it.

Chalice spiked up to $20 when people figured out it was the best way to fight U/R delver and lots of storm. It'a a pretty big hoser for any cantrip heavy deck. Explosives was kind of the same thing since you could blow up Young Pyromancer tokens for 2 mana. Merfolk run AEther Vial MB more assuredly than Chalice of the Void. I think you might have them confused with each other

Basically any 3+ colour deck that has even the option of becoming more controlling after board considers Explosives. That includes Junk, Jund and many flavours of control.

I'm pretty sure that many modern fish run chalice in the SB. Since their mana curve is almost entirely 2 drops, it can be very powerful.
