Is Chief Engineer going to make Emrakul, the Aeons Torn l too powerful and too quick?

GoldGhost012 says... #2

No, because Emrakul isn't an artifact.

...I suppose Chief Engineer could help you get out Thran Dynamo , Gilded Lotus , and other artifact ramp... that could help you get Emrakul, the Aeons Torn out quicker...

Not that it would make it "too powerful" though...

Whoops. Not all colorless cards are artifacts. In fact, there are even several colored artifacts in Standard now.

He wouldn't interact with Emrakul in any meaningful way (guess he could help the engineer Convoke stuff when he's out, but that's it). The Urza's lands are the best way to get Emrakul out in Modern as far as I can tell.

I forgot he was elderazi. Well, how about will it make all the other terrifying artifacts too good?

Makes turn 2 Wurmcoil Engine pretty simple, but aside from that, I don't think he will affect modern too much. Affinity is too fast to try and land a 2 drop that doesn't win the game turn three, and blue tron doesn't have enough creatures to convoke with.

I can't account for Legacy, but I know that he'll be fairly restricted outside of standard.
