So apparently Wizards is gonna release another set of Commander decks for 2014. Link to tumblr HERE
This is exciting!
Hopefully we get wedge-scheme again, or else they'll probs be monochrome.

My guess is that the decks will be either bi-colored ally or bi-colored enemy decks. You know, cause making three-colored commanders isn't easy, and has limited design space.
I don't like it, but that's what I think.
I'm hoping, really hoping, they will go for four-colored commanders, since there are currently no commander with four colors.
Fingers crossed!

Mark has previously said that there will be a commander product every year from now on. This just confirmed that this year's products will be decks and not some other type of commander product.

SRS was created to keep these threads out of General.

Oh boy! I would love to see bi-color or quad color. penta would be neat too.
July 17, 2014 10:21 a.m.
I'm hoping mono colored containing some great cards for green
July 17, 2014 10:24 a.m.
I'm hoping for either bi-color or new wedge commanders, there's not a lot of them so new ones will be a great addition.
July 17, 2014 10:46 a.m.
4 color alllllllllllllllllll thhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhe waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! Its something we have never seen before, and something I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally want to seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
July 17, 2014 11:15 a.m.
With the enemy lands popping up in M15 I could see them doing some enemy colored commanders. I could see it going either way as far as being a bi-colored or tri-colored set. With the new slivers it would be cool if they released a all color sliver deck. Probably won't happen, but it would be neat.

I'd rather seen some decks with four-colored commanders. There aren't any of those currently that are technically legal; lots of people just house rule the Nephilim to have the color combinations available apparently. I know they'd probably be tough to design but it would make them unique.
July 17, 2014 12:35 p.m.
I don't think that 4 color commander product's going to work, that's gonna be hard for R&D to balance.
July 17, 2014 12:38 p.m.
Maybe a mix this time around? So we get one mono, one duo, two tripple and one five color deck?
And the five color deck will of course have all 5 Nephilims, errata'd to legendary creatures. RIGHT, WIZARDS? hint hint

What if wizards did 3 color gods? That would be kinda sick. They wouldn't, but it would still be sick.

The only cycle of color combos missing generals are the wedges. In three color, the wedges are down by about five except when compared to grixis and esper, where they're down by about ten.
Overall, the enemy bicolors are down by about ten in comparison to the ally colors, but azorius and golgari are high for their status by about three, and gruul and simic are down by about three for where they are.
I hope we get more wedge stuff finally.

What do we want?
FOUR COLOR COMMANDERS!
When do we want them?
COMMANDER 2014!
Come on! I would love to run a GRUB deck! Counterspells, killspells, creatures and good red splashed stuff! What more could one ask for? (Sorry white, not a fan)

Over here Mark Rosewater talks about it. One of the more recent questions he fielded was confirming each deck is monocolor, and that it matches up their planeswalker theme they have going. Sounds like a complete five-color cycle of commander-planeswalkers..
To quote:
dmmattsilva said: Is there gonna be a rule change to allow Planeswalkers to be used as commanders? :3
No, this cycle specifically has text on them that days they can be Commanders. No rules are changing.

Have you guys seen Gisa?(http://mythicspoiler.com/c14/cards/ghoulcallergisa.html)
Working on a deck as we speak.
July 26, 2014 9:57 p.m.
I'm excited about Gisa. My zombie commander deck is looking more and more like a Innistrad deck, particularly with her in it. I wonder if we will see her brother too. He'd be in the blue deck I'd imagine.

Finally we get a commander that does say "zombie tribal" on it! I'm so excited!
July 27, 2014 3:22 p.m.
She'd be great with Merieke Ri Berit . Steal a opponent's creature and turn it into zombies. I'd include Jalira, Master Polymorphist in that deck too.

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed reprints for mono-black? Can't have a mono-black zombie commander without mikaeus!

Btw, Geralf has been confirmed! He's a blue legendary creature!

@MagicalHacker Grimgrin, Corpse-Born ???
I'm not a really a fan of monocolor edh, but I really like the Gisa and Geralf cards. I kind of wish they had done at least dual color, and mashed the siblings up into a single U/B legendary duo, like Tibor and Lumia .

I think it's nice to see them showing that mono color EDH/Commander decks are powerful too, not just multicolor. Plus, you can't get color screwed with just one color xD

But what if you're playing against someone with Iona, Shield of Emeria ? Then I think mana would be the least of your worries!
