I am glad I have the entire set preordered. Upon seeing white's commander i picked up four copies of Stoneforge Mystic . Got a pretty solid price at $16 each.

What does everyone think of Reef Worm, I think he has the potential to be the next big blue winner, sac then copy tokens with Doubling Season or Rite of Replication .

Just seeing it now, cast have Ashnod's Altar out, cast Reef Worm and Doubling Season , then sac the worm, put 10 more tokens with Rite of Replication , sac them for twenty mana, sac the next twenty tokens, and have 40 9/9's turn 7 or 8 with 62 extra mana.

bcornett24: I'm thankful I did as well, except it was Jet Medallion that pushed me into doing it. I really hope WIzards reprinted the cycle because if you're going to print one part of a cycle, why not all of them? I know this hasn't been true in the past but it should be true in this case, as this is THE best chance for them to reprint the Medallion cycle.
Nahiri and Ob Nixilis, on the other hand...* is looking forward to playing them *

It isn't the Medallion cycle Phaetion. It is a much different version. Same cmc, but ETBT, and grants coloured mana as the pay off.

Um. The Diamond cycle may have been confirmed, Femme_Fatale, but Jet Medallion's in the black precon, and there's a good chance that the full cycle's getting a reprint. No confirmation, of course, but the chance is there.

Hopefully it's not actually "Creeper Vine". That sounds to much like Gatecreeper Vine . I don't think wizards is running out of card names quite yet.

Femme_Fatale: Jet Medallion being the only Medallion reprinted is the worst case scenario. I'm merely holding some hope that they reprint the other four. It would be nice, since they function at their best in a mono-color deck.
As for Masterwork of Ingenuity: I may as well get Sculpting Steel as well and use both to copy all the Swords of X and Y, so I don't have to spend ~$100 to get them all.

Reprinting the medallions would make sense. They're way overpriced for not being "competitive" cards as the things are a casual favorite. They're popular but it won't disrupt anything to reprint them again.
Wurmcoil is almost assuredly in Red. SCG already pricing the Red deck at $45 now, the jerks.

I get they go off card prices and what not but considering the Commander decks are going to be in regular retailers (non game shops) like walmart and target it seems to me they won't be getting a lot of people paying that when they can literally go around the corner and pick up for $10 less

@Bellock86 ~ If you weren't around for C13 you might not have seen this, but what happened was two of the decks got very high in price (Mind Seize particularly). This deck soared to like $100 before it was actually on sale at most specialized retailers such as SCG (the other decks were all above MSRP also). Although Wal-Mart and other big box retailers sold it at MSRP, you had guys going around and cleaning them out of the big money ones as fast as possible, taking the money cards out (usually True-Name Nemesis and Baleful Strix for Mind Seize) and selling the remainder at MSRP on Ebay or whatever.
I expect a lesser version happens this time. The decks will get cleaned out at Wal-Mart and the like, the specialized retailers will sell at higher prices, and for the first month you'll either need some luck or having placed a preorder to find them at MSRP. I don't think any of them will reach Mind Seize levels though.

nobu_the_bard now that you mention it i do remember mind seize being next to impossible to find. i knew that true name was the cause but never looked at SCG and the like to know that the deck was going for $100. That's Crazy.

And yet we have the possibility of history repeating itself with the red deck.
Wurmcoil Engine : $20
Daretti: $20
Dualcaster Mage: $15.
That's $55 already ($45 if you price the precon Wurmcoil, which is $10 at SCG). Who knows what others...wait:
Ruby Medallion : ~$7.50 on TCGPlayer. Make that ~$60. That's 4 cards alone.

Wizards actually publicly apologized for the C13 fiasco with Mind Seize. Pretty sure the Red Deck will get similar treatment early due to Wurmcoil Engine , and possibly the Blue Deck if the rumors of a Cryptic Command reprint prove true. They might die down a bit after awhile though and get near MSRP again (though probably never again be AT it); Mind Seize never really came down much.

It's just a rumor because the spoiled black list had Profane Command in it, and people want to think it's a five-card cycle. Had people at the LGS talking like it was a sure thing, but I doubt they had any proof either. They also had me thinking the white PW would be Serra! (doh)
Personally I'd rather not gamble on something that spurious considering the spoiled list is from 4chan, but do what you will.

If the blue list gets cryptic and the black list doesn't get damnation I'll be unhappy. the prices are pretty similar so it couldn't be that. cryptic is obviously more powerful in all noncommander formats.

Austere command was in C11 though, no cycle there ... I wouldn't read too much into one card being printed and assume it will be symmetrical... but, time will shortly tell.
