Let's talk JOU.
What cards impress you so far? What seems overhyped? Are there any cards you can't wait to get your hands on?
On any turn other than the one you cast him on (where you can't attack with him unless you give him haste) it's 1 red mana.

Of course yeh, it's still resources and cards 'spent' though.

Titan's Strength on it's own is a weak card. You'd be willing to run it as a 4x because of 4 other cards in your 60? It's also begging for a 2 for 1 or disruption to fold on you. Like ChiefBell said it's putting your eggs in one basket. Red like to go wide.
If you're going the all out aggro approach isn't Chandra's Phoenix and a burn spell better?

Those arguments are heavily deck and meta dependant. Merely the possibility of this guy getting pumped is a scary proposition for your opponent.

Can we just agree that he's a scary guy when he gets big? I have a feeling that this might eventually devolve to the "dies to Doom Blade " argument.

There is that red deck that plays Akroan Crusader s and Titan's Strength s. People have been talking about putting it there, and that seems pretty strong.
I know I want to try some sort of R/G/x midrange with him. Maybe jund can come back in standard (I doubt it)?

Just want to say that if you scry as Rasta_Viking29 you may not exile the card.

I mean yeah, Proffessor Flamespeaker here is easier than Chandra to remove but...that's kind of true for every other card in the Mono-Red deck besides Chandra's Phoenix who, demands you have another card to recur it to your hand. If everything in my deck dies to removal I might as well add in a few guys that keep me ahead on card advantage if they do manage to get through.
I'm pretty fine with a less-than ideal body given that the trade-off is netting me card advantage. The most expensive card in my deck is a single, 5 mana Stormbreath Dragon , so it's not a stretch to say I could cast most of my deck even after giving Proff a Madcap Skills , or as I like to call it "Teach That Man How to Juggle," on turn four or five

Playing sealed for theros black was really weird. I ended up playing black white heroic with white seed, placed 5th out of 36. Nobody in top 8 had any bombs in the main deck, other than the green black guy who pulled pharika out of the black seed and basically made standerd green black enchantments.

And by one red mana you mean 3 red mana, 1 colourless mana and 2 cards.
Eggs in baskets etc.
