March 13, 2015 11:49 a.m.
Gradeius not a bad combo but I'd rather Generator Servant into either a Thunderbreak Regent or an Underworld Cerberus

Conditional black burn spell, I could see this hitting Standard tables if the right deck comes together.

Rasta_Viking29 Secure the wastes + Foul-Tongue Shriek could be sweet

I'm excited for Graceblade Artisan - a 2/3 for that gets +2/+2 for each aura attached to it. Not as good as Kor Spiritdancer, but bound to be cheaper. I can use it in 2 aura decks I run.

Now that the full set is spoiled, what do you guys think will be the best prerelease color? I want to go Ojutai but I am interested to hear what other people think.
March 13, 2015 12:27 p.m.
I want to know if in September they will print the zendicar fetches.
Otherwise, if I do draft it would be R/G or Gr/Wh.
March 13, 2015 12:30 p.m.
Shape the Sands sounds absolutely amazing in a deck revolving around Assault formation.
March 13, 2015 12:30 p.m.
Atarka. Without a doubt.
Although Silumgar hasn't a single bad exploit card imo.
And Dromoka & Kolaghan got pretty good commons & uncommons.
March 13, 2015 12:31 p.m.
I just want to go to five prereleases and play each one if I could...

Foul Tongue Shriek isn't bad until you're able to get ahold of Hordechiefs. Gonna try to find room for it.

awesomeguy37 In limited? Awfully expensive rebound cards. Perhaps not enough win conditions...
But that's only my point of view...
March 13, 2015 12:37 p.m.
I'm liking Kolaghan for the prerelease but I'll probably run Atarka at least once.
March 13, 2015 12:39 p.m.
Impact Tremors is going to be Purphoros, God of the Forge numbers 3-6 in one of my decks. Love it.
And I have mixed feelings about that new token hoser. At the same time, it's one of the best black cards in the set (of which there are painfully few) and a giant dump on one of the few Modern archetypes that still run black mainboard. :(
March 13, 2015 12:39 p.m.
RIP token decks... sigh.... i was halfway into my modern mardu tokens deck...

Why is no one talking about Inspiring Call??
2G Draw a card for each creature with a +1/+1 counter those cretures gain indestructible.
Talk about hosing removal... oh you want to wipe the board, correction you wipe your board i'll keep most of mine and refill my hand. Thats nuts.
March 13, 2015 12:49 p.m.
I'm pretty sad too dezzo. I'm not 100% that it will see play in sideboards, but it does kill Lingering Souls tokens with Intangible Virtue in play...
March 13, 2015 12:49 p.m.
Insanity itself, you're right, LittleBlueHero. Better with that white dude in the chair spamming counters away...
March 13, 2015 12:51 p.m.
The only problem with that LittleBlueHero is that there are VERY few Standard playable cards that use +1/+1 counters. The ones I can name off the top of my head are Fleecemane Lion, Stormbreath Dragon, Polukranos, World Eater, Abzan Charm, and that's really it. You aren't saving enough with that card to make it worth it in Standard.
Although I WILL run it in Vorel and his Merry Counters because that's hilarious.
March 13, 2015 12:52 p.m.
..so... anyone else think that this may have a spot in Modern tokens?
Less creatures per CMC than Raise the Alarm (not that that's necessarily the card it would replace)... but more flexibility, and still instant speed, which Spectral Procession and even Lingering Souls don't offer.
March 13, 2015 12:54 p.m.
That definitely has a place in B/W tokens as a 1 or 2-of. 4 tokens on turn 4 is a lot of bang for your buck.
The problem is, I'm not sure B/W tokens is viable anymore. Will depend on how popular Virulent Plague becomes as a SB card.
