Is Lingering Souls really such a big deal that Virulent Plague will be all over Modern sideboards?

Virulent Plague doesn't seem like a good sideboard card for Modern... it's too limited in the number of decks it works against.
If 
Tokens became more popular, I could see more hate against it, but things like Ratchet Bomb do the trick, and can be used against a larger number of decks.

It's not. What I'm saying is, if it ever becomes, everyone will start sideboarding Virulent Plague. So, I can't really get excited about any cards that make B/W tokens better for now.

Gah, forgot about Ratchet Bomb. Probably because it doesn't see nearly as much play as it should.

Well... it's not a permanent stopper. it's just a 1-time explosion that can somewhat be played around. But it still hits more decks than Virulent Plague.
Besides there's already Illness in the Ranks that never sees play. (Though it's offset by a single Intangible Virtue)

Though... with Virulent Plague and Illness in the Ranks combined, I could see a fun Modern deck running Forbidden Orchard and the Hunted Creatures... Hunted Horror, Hunted Phantasm, Hunted Troll...
I mean a great hand would look like:
T1: Forbidden Orchard, Illness in the Ranks
T2: Forbidden Orchard, Hunted Horror
T3: Swamp, Virulent Plague, swing with a 7/7 Trample!

It could also use Curse of the Swine and Pongify as removal.

Beast Within is good... though I'd probably use it as sideboard. - 3 mana is a bit much when Pongify is available... but important to have against Artifacts and Enchantments... and even Land, if needed.

Rayenous, Beast Within should be main boarded. It allows you to attack mana bases, planeswalkers, etc. It says permanent, not creature, which is why it is 3 mana, and ultimately better.

Wait, you got that, but still, it is much better than pongify, and i prefer giving them 3/3 frog lizards over apes with Rapid Hybridization

I think green has a lot of useless commons and uncommons so I won't be getting a green pre release deck. I think I'm picking Kholagan or ojutai.

I don't know why anyone is fretting over Virulent Plague in modern. I don't think you'll ever run into it. Too narrow for a SB slot.

I don't know if it's been said yet, since there are quite a few pages since I've checked last, but am I the only one disappointed that we didn't see the Ankle Shanker evolution into Vial Smasher as he was referred to in Uncharted Realms when Sarkhan arrives in the present? Also kind of figured we'd see a Taigam

We never saw that girl shaman with quotes on every Temur card in lore, I'm not surprised we got nothing more than quotes from Taigam.
That being said, the

Why is it taking so long for the full release on here? It's already out on mythicspoiler.com. I would like to start making decks using the newest cards, so if an admin reads this, please if you can, somehow get the spoiler done. Thanks. -Master2014

This takes forever to do. Femme_Fatale is probably one of the only ones working on it right now, and she is doing a great job. Plus, the set isn't even released so they technically don't HAVE to have it done.

So do you guys think the Dragon-Names will take over comapred to the Ravnica names? The Khans-of-Tarkir-Clan-Names got stuck pretty quickly, but I really like the Ravnica names. Will we really call Azorius Ojutai and will Gruul really be called Atarka?

Dunno, I think the old names will stick. I was refering to players choosing Ojutai at prerelease so I wrote Ojutai players.
Then again players usually don't call U/W Heroic Azorius aggro do they?

The KTK clan names stuck because there were no official names for the wedges before them. DTK clan names are a different story - plus, they don't even cover all of the two-color combinations, so I don't think we'll be seeing a lot of people saying "Kolaghan" instead of Rakdos two years from now.
