So I don't know if Maro or any WoTC people have said anything about this, but are flip planeswalkers going to continue being a thing? Are they going to make more flip planeswalkers for characters for Garruk and Ashiok? Or was it a one time thing?
For example, I could imagine them doing it for a dual color commander set that's eventually gonna come out. Is there any chance of that happening?

Probably not. But, when we get Return to Innistrad, we'll get a Wolf Lord, more flip cards, and probably more flip walkers like Garruk Relentless Flip.

Maro has said that the printing technology for DFC's is quite expensive so they can't so things like this very frequently. So I wouldn't expect to see another DFC planeswalker for at least 2 years. I will give myself an out if we do a Return to Innistrad, but we'll see.

It would be a cool way to do dual color commander decks. Then you'd have foil oversized transform walkers...

In the recent panel that was featured in a previous article (can't find it right now) they responded to a question reagarding "recurrence" as follows.
"It really all depends on players. If something we do gets a good response it exponentially increases the likelihood of us doing it again in the future. "
I would take this to mean that if transforming walkers gets a good reponse then will probably do ot again at some point but as mentioned double faced cards is complicated to produce and as such will not be an every set kind of thing.

They might do them in a supplemental product, but I don't think that they will become a trend.
