Deceiver of Form

I feel like this card has a lot of potential in both Standard and Modern and deserves some discussion.

It won't manipulate ETB triggers, so how can this card best be used?

GO!

The only deck (in Modern) that can cast this guy consistently is Tron, and Tron won't make enough creatures for his trigger to do anything.

This guy could be a stone-cold bomb in Limited, but I don't see it for Standard or Modern.

My Intet, the Dreamer EDH deck could use it though.

I don't think it will really do much. The only creatures you would want to flip are things like Worldspine Wurm or Tarmogoyf. But those cards don't work great in strategies that would run this (tokens). In non token strategies, you rarely have more that 2-3 creatures. Also, this is 7 mana, and I think there are better wincons than possibly hitting something the next turn.

canterlotguardian, this guy would turn Intet into the revealed creature as well, nullifying Intet's ability.

Also, it's a bummer if you reveal a legendary creature. They'd kill each other, lol good things it's a "may" clause

Yeah man. You don't want this in Intet.

What about Soul Sisters?

That could see some practical application.

I don't expect it to make its way into a competitive scene but I feel like it could do interesting things in board flooding decks like Tokens obviously or Soul Sisters using Nykthos. Not expecting it to make a home there because obviously by putting a few of these in you take out other more practical use cards, but still.

It also screams of combo potential. But what to combo? Hmm?

I'm an infinite combo fanatic so I'm curious to see what the minds of tappedout can crack out of it.

This guy with something like Savage Ventmaw would be insane. Imagine the Fireball after that attack phase!

Is Brutal Hordechief and some tokens good enough?

Conduit of Ruin, a way to bounce it to you hand like Temur Sabertooth, and some really good colorless creatures would also work.

Maringam Pay attention to when it triggers. Avaricious Dragon is no good here.

Deceiver with at least 4 scion tokens/other creatures out, Herald of Kozilek on top of the deck, Ancestral Statue for infinite etb triggers during your second main phase.

At the very least Deceiver + Herald could make for some super cheap edrazi dudes, but either way it's probably still too complicated for anything except casual fun.
