Holy heck the DTK spindowns look awesome. Well done Wizards!!!
Oh yes, and some promo cards. Although I'm wondering if they'll have enough for everybody to 'score' 18.
Let's look at those dice.
Some of the dice are easy to figure out which brood they belong to. Others are trickier.

The red and purple are the two that I'm unsure about. kolaghan and Atarka, but I'm not sure which order. If I had to guess, red is Atarka.

That Dromaka dice looks so nice shame i'd much prefer choosing every other dragon except Ojutai.

Im wondering what the ONE promo dragon is. Im PRAYING TO EVERY GOD imaginable that it's Scion of the Ur-Dragon, but I know thats not happening.

Anyone else think that this hints at full art lands? Roll a 3 and get a land? Who the hell wants a basic land? And noticed they changed basic land to "land"... Kinda seems like a hint but who knows.

I don't think anything points to a full-art land. Maybe alt art fetches or gain lands etc but they have no reason to bring in full art lands completely randomly.
Plus, I think telling people "do all this work and you can get a basic land!" is kind of lame and wouldn't interest people in the slightest

Liking the Purple Kolaghan dice.
Assuming that, based on the fact the dice are representing breath weapons, the order shown in Atarka at the top (flames) and going clockwise Kolaghan ( Purple Lightning), then Dromoka (Golden Light beams), then Silumgar (toxic black fumes), then Ojutai (icy blue breath)
Given how easy it is to get 3 points looking at the game board a promo fetch is supremely unlikely. Possibly a promo gainland but I'm betting its a basic. Possibly full-art but I think its unlikely

The more I think about it, the more worried I am that the prerelease game is going to turn into a giant clusterwoot.
Firstly, I'm assuming that these aren't the 'normal' promo cards that we'll get in the pre-release pack, but rather more akin to the Ugin's Fate cards - that is bonus bonuses.
But here's the problem - different players will (in theory at least) get different levels of prizes. Now, I don't know about your LGSes, but generally the pre-release games tend to be ignored where I play, and prizes just given out. Which means that, unless they gives the prizes to the LGSes assuming that everybody is going to get an 18, there's going to be a paucity of rares to go around. And that's going to get dirty in at least a few stores. (or worse, if people actually play, and they run out of rares. Eep)

I remember reading that at the time; isn't it far too early for them to show up though? That article was only a couple of months ago, and it's stated that they haven't yet seen print (not sure what the actual timeline for a set is). It also says for an upcoming block.
Would be very happy to be wrong, but my guess is it's just alternate art.

This block already has Morph, fetchlands, and wedge cards. I don't think they would also add full art lands to make us want to buy more of it.

LIVEFORCHAOS - I'm not saying that full art lands WON'T make us buy more, I just don't think they NEED it to make us buy more of it.

I wouldn't mind seeing full art basics for Origins. That would make that entire set worthwhile.

This pisses me off. It feels like the KTK block is too special, with it's weird prerequisites for getting promos, fetch reprints, and time travel. There's got to be something I'm missing...

Okay, much less worried about the mechanics of the game now that they've released the promo cards.
In my head, I was imagining it was like the Ugin's Fate bosters, where you could get a wide variety of rares, etc. With only one card for each level, that's a lot more reasonable, and a lot more fair. =)
