Dig Through Time, Too Good for Legacy and Vintage!
Spoilers, Rumors, and Speculation forum

We all wanted Dig Through Time in modern, but if it gets banned in legacy and restricted in vintage, there's a lot less of a chance of it getting unbanned in modern.
Other changes:
- Black Vise: Unbanned in Legacy.
- Chalice of the Void: Restricted in Vintage.
- Thirst for Knowledge: Unrestricted in Vintage.
For those legacy and vintage players out there, do you like this new banlist update? What new decks do you see popping up, or old decks returning to the field of play?
I love their reasoning for chalice of the void.
You don't get to play moxen anywhere else so we'll ban chalice to let you have your fun. As if just because they're legal there's some kind of obligation from wizards that they see play and dont get 'countered'.

Lol, I mean it nice to have an opening hand worth as much as a house... But what use is it if you can't use it? Lol.

I'm hoping that Black Vise sees some sideboard play against decks like Miracles. I doubt it will have a huge impact, but we can hope.
Also the Legacy meta is going to shift back to something closer to pre-Khans territory. More Jund, Burn, maybe even some Stoneblade and Jeskai Delver.

Does this mean Esper Mentor will implode? I was hoping to start getting into Legacy and I wanted to try Esper Mentor. Or Grixis Control. Will Miracles be the only viable control deck now?

Miracles and other decks that used Dig merely were better and more consistent with a double Brainstorm... They'll still be good, but on a more even playing field to let other decks flourish.
And for a card to get banned in Legacy is a BIG DEAL as it's a busted format. Dig being restricted in Vintage is also a big deal, but not many can afford to play that format lol.

You do realize that this basically just resets the field, right? But hey, I get to run Black Vise in Delver now. Dece.

Guys, OmniTell is no longer viable, so D&T shall screw everyone over once again! Hooray for fair magic!

OmniTell is still viable, it just won't be as consistent. And LOL at D&T! Hell, I bet Food Chain can even gain some standings!
