Does anyone else see the HUGE gap in DTK?

Hey guys, I have been watching the spoilers for DTK and I can't help but notice that there seems to be a huge gap between aggro and control.

Don't get me wrong there are some great midrange cards, but so far it looks like aggro beats up midrange, and control beats up midrange. I have not seen such a "two-sided" (can't say one sided because there are too many sides to mtg) set since the Urza's block!

I really do still like the set so far, though. It should be a ton of fun to draft and it will certainly change the face of the current meta.

What do you guys think? Does it seem go aggro or go control, or go home, so far to you too?

There are a lot of midrange cards that are viable already from Khans, so midrange is pretty well covered. Control needed a boost to be viable in Standard, and I'm glad that they are giving it a little push.

Midrange has also got some new toys, mainly things that will help they deal with cheaper threats like Ultimate Price. Huzzah for killing those annoying red dudes.

I like it when control is a hard archetype to build. It was too dumb and easy when everything was Sphinx's Revelation and Supreme Verdict.

Well considering that midrange has siege rhino, I think it's covered pretty well.

Don't forget Tasigur, the Golden Fang! There's also like 180 cards left to be spoiled and that's... a lot.

Siege Rhino is a great card (I mean it's no Masticore but a great card none the less). There are actually a few really good cards in midrange, but so far not a single deck in midrange is holding up against aggro. The control decks have all been pretty weak, but it looks like that could be changing with DTK. Then again, there are more cards to be spoiled. I guess, let's just wait and see.

Yeah, we will be seeing some serious turn 2 action from this beast Tasigur, the Golden Fang. I am just so glad he is legendary or running 4 of would be a no brainer. Now we actually have to think about dropping down to 2 or 3 (depending on the card draw situation of our deck).

Oh wait, Tome Scour isn't in M15, thank god! Never mind, turn three visit from a 4/5 are still not good. Plus he is a great delve engine.

From what we've seen so far, UB Control is really being pushed.

Also, other than Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit and maybe Ojutai Exemplars, I'd have to say that I really don't feel like aggro is getting jack out of this so far. At least, not much that is justifiably playable.

(Not to say Anafenza or such is bad, just that it is one card compared to the rest is not a full deck and the Exemplars really have to fight for the slot in Abzan aggro as you can just play Siege Rhino who is bigger and has trample.)

Yeah, uh, midrange already has a shit load of good cards from Khans and FRF so I'm glad theyre giving control a little help.

Now we need some aggro love. Haven't seen a whole lot of good stuff for aggro so far, in my opinion.
