That event deck looks halfway respectable. You could easily buy it for an FNM and mop up on some homebrews.

Really? I was about to say the opposite. The Event Deck looks really underwhelming. And there isn't any value in it at all. Unless I'm missing something...

It has little value but is definitely playable. It's proactive, aggressive, redundant, and can utilize tempo. Probably has a little too much interaction that should be converted to acceleration. All the other Event Decks I've looked at are durdle midrange decks full of one ofs and lack the power to actually take over the midgame or swing hard late. What good is an Abzan list with 1x Siege Rhino, 1x Thoughtseize, a bunch of outlast creatures, and Sandblast? Wizards can never add enough midgame power to the midrange Event Decks without loading it with expensive($) creatures, premium removal and planeswalkers. Aggro is not dependent on card quality and is much better at leveraging tempo to reduce the power advantage a tuned list will have over a pre-con.

I'm getting the event deck and the Atarka intro deck. Not sure about the others. Maybe the Kolaghan deck for Foul Renewal.

Event deck is at least better than last one. Intros look fine, nothing like Hornet Queen or Monastery Swiftspear this time though, besides Myth Realized.

I guess that's true, it's a decent aggro deck. I just think it's kind of disappointing from a value standpoint. They usually try to include at least one chase card. They could've thrown in a Wooded Foothills or something like that. Maybe even Sylvan Caryatid? Idk, it just seems like you could buy the current list as singles for less than $20.

I think R/B deck is the best intro pack power wise by far. It has enough removal, fairly quick creatures, and if you draw the dragon, it's easy enough to win with the dash mechanic. What do you guys think?

Cards in event decks don't always become dirt cheap. I'm looking at you, Verdant Catacombs.
