I'm excited for #2. We finally get to build our own decks. I got DotP 2013 when it was on sale for $2 via Steam and DotP 2014 for the Scavenging Ooze promo. No word yet on what the promos will be this time around. I never got around to playing either online due to cheating. Hopefully, being able to build our own decks will eliminate that problem.

I thought about putting this topic in Online Magic, but DotP is mostly single player.

I'm actually going to move this to SRS because it's about an upcoming product. Once it gets released, Online Magic is probably the most appropriate place for it.

#2 just makes this entire game for me. I have been telling my friends ways they could do this with out being exactly like MTGO and now they did me one up. Thank you for finally listening to the consumers WoTC.

For anyone wondering what my suggestion was, it was instead of unlocking cards for the deck to swap out you have a set amount of cards and you have free choice as to the quantity of the cards you have unlocked so you only unlock say Path to Exile once and you can run 4 copies. I think this would open up the deck building process without making it so people could just net deck whatever they wanted. But now we have free control in deck building so my old Idea is null and void.

So wait. Xbox one only? So the 360 can't run it? Well that blows.

April 11, 2014 8:27 p.m.

@Bellock86 from what I saw it is still on 360

@BoWLKuTT: I was reading that earlier, too. It also isn't going to be available on Wii from what I understand. They may have signed a new contract with this one to have it available as an Xbox and PC exclusive. Not sure, but I haven't seen WotC say otherwise.

Can't say for sure @ BoWLKuTT. It could just be that the last game or two didn't generate enough revenue from the sony release so they elected not to do it but who knows.

@Bellock86 I don't see how they really could not generate revenue on Sony systems.

@BoWLKuTT ~ merely speculation. That was just throwing random thoughts out there.

I couldn't care less about the consoles it's on since I'll get it on Steam anyway. And I'm very much looking forward to it. I'm very curious about the 'open ended deck building' although I was a bit disappointed in the sealed mode from Duels 2014, so I'll hold my horses for now.

DotP 2014 was so bug-laden that my wife and I gave up on the series. Luckily I was able to turn her on to cubing instead. If 2015 turns out to be amazing I might regret not playing it, but to be honest it sounds like 2015 is going to be another cash-grab (see #4).
