Am I the only one who thinks this card will have a lot of Standard value?

Turn 2 cast him. Turn 3 activate his ability. Trigger transform. Cast some more beasties.

It's got a nice curve flow to it if you ask me.

I also think he is pretty good in edh to filter through your deck

I dont play Stadnard, but devoting your turn 2 and 3 to basically draw a card seems pretty mediocre to me..

Standard is pretty mediocre compared to other formats. But from a standard perspective what this card does isn't so mediocre. Putting the "dig for a creature" ability on a stick that also functions as a mana engine for creatures is pretty useful for Standard.

The real question is will the speed of Standard allow for Werewolves to actually be viable and/or will they reprint the werewolf tribe cards like Immerwolf and Moonmist?

Also consider the use of his ability in possible Werewolf tribal Standard to can make sure you get the Werewolf lords you need.

Correction: putting 5 mana into a 3/3 that reduces casting costs of creatures by one and anticipates for a creature over two turns. If your opponent casts a spell? No worries, you get one more anticipate for each turn they delay you.

Okay, that's general, but it seems fine.

If it didn't have to wait for the flip or only had the first flip condition I think it would have great value in standard. With the double flip conditions, I think it is simply so-so, perhaps even sub par.

Don't get me wrong, the flavor is great, the cost reduction ability is great, and it has a small body so is unlikely to warrant too much attention, but it probably might be more viable as a single flip or straight up tribal card like Ballyrush Banneret.

I am very surprised, but also pleased, to see that that card is an uncommon, as it is evidence that WotC is willing to make excellent cards at lower rarities.

GearNoir - It wouldn't be a werewolf if it didn't flip back. All the werewolves do that. Unless you have Immerwolf in play.
