Confirmed Eagle of the Watch spoiler as an intro pack only reprint. That means it will not be in boosters. only in white intro pack.

Thank you for this awesome news, I was on the fence about investing in some Eagles last week but I think for sure I'll hold off now.

unless i am missing something, what is so great about a white, power and toughness switched, more mana expensive version of Storm Crow??? seems pretty vanilla to me...

It was due for a reprint. It's a card with mass appeal in multiple formats and was starting to price out lots of players who couldn't get their hands on it. It's also been a while since it was last in printing so I'm ok with it making a slight comeback.

Guys, have we started to worship Eagle of the Watch instead of Storm Crow? Cause I am.

I like the vigilance, but man, just something so awesome about having a flying, 1/2 for only two mana.

I'd never heard of this card so was slightly excited until I realized that it was just a better Storm Crow. We need new things like Fyndhorn Brownies.

Maro came out and said they had a coin toss at the mothership about this.
"basically, we flipped a coin. Heads we reprint the P9 and say to hell with the reserved list because Origins is going to be just that, Origins. Tails, we crack a pack of Journey and make the most powerful card in the pack the staple card of Origins. We cracked it open, looked through and even though there was Keranos in there, there was a foil Eagle in there, so it's power couldn't be denied. IT WAS A FOIL FFS! Anyways, we flip the coin high in the air, it bounces off of the ceiling, clashes into a framed uncut sheet of Alpa (thank God for glass), knocks over Jim's coffee onto an unopened booster of Summer Series, and finally hits the floor. We all wanted tails, and by God, we got it!"

00xtremeninja I got all exited because I thought MaRo actaully said that. I was thinking all "He might be an ass, but at least he has a sense of humor".
But unfortunately he didn't say that and he's just an ass.
I love his work, I think he understands flavor more than any competitive player and understands competitive play more than any casual player, and I think his NWO is (for the most part) good for magic, but he's a bit of a dick.

Damn it...this reprint is going to adversely affect my Eagle of the Watch stock...
I invested heavily in this value card in the hopes that it wouldn't see a reprint for many years. Fuck you, Wizards.

In case anyone wants to know why Eagle of the Watch is so good... it's cause it kills Storm Crow and doesn't even tap while doing it.
